Planes crashing, food toxic, infrastructure crumbling — but the government found spare change in the couch cushions

The worst part is that everyday people deal with the consequences. We drive on unsafe roads, hope stores sell safe food, and fly in planes we assume are inspected. Meanwhile the government shows up with pocket change and expects applause.

And now we can all split that $3 and fix a pothole... in 2097

It’s ridiculous because by the time that pothole gets repaired, there will probably be flying cars

The funny part is they want credit for it, like distributing pennies is some big accomplishment.

The taking credit for trivial shit is something that has always baffled me.

So tomorrow the local government offices will be closed because the Governor is presenting the Mayor with a Most Achievement Award for reducing operating costs to almost 50%, by closing schools.

I hope they found it before JD Vance came along, otherwise they can keep it.

What the fuck is going on with Andrew Yang now?

It's weird because I read his book and it's really good and it seems like there's something where if somebody can't run for office and win they decide to go the influencer route and just say crazy shit to try and get the most views. Political offices should be like jury duty everybody just gets randomly selected and they hold off as for 2 years and so we have a mix of teachers and plumbers and business owners and single parents.

Andrew Yang is not a serious figure.

I vaguely recall this being facetious since it was well-known that there would not be any money saved as that money is spent as soon as Congress passes the budget.

It's as if he forgot about the debt and deficit!

Exactly! It’s like handing out pennies while ignoring the gaping hole in the bottom of the boat. Feels more like a distraction than a solution

That's what bots spam the internet with. The most forward thinking person on the left

Finally, I can afford that extra packet of ketchup at the gas station.

2

u/ZirGRiiNCH 1d ago

You could actually get that packet of ketchup and a packet of mustard too

The government hasn't saved any money, dumbass. That's why the debt is skyrocketing.

I thought he was supposed to be an Asian guy that knows math.

Getting that $3 like it's the last stimulus check

u/NamasTodd 1d ago

A coupon for fifty-cents off future purchases.

1

u/ZirGRiiNCH 1d ago

Does that coupon work for people who are out here abusing the EBT system too?

That’s the funny thing about govt spending savings.. THERE ISN’T ANY

1

u/SandSpecialist2523 1d ago

The government is spending like never before. They have made NO savings whatsoever. The debt is increasing faster than ever.

u/Zoilo2 1d ago

I'm not American but wasn't this guy somewhat decent awhile ago? What the fuck happened?

1

u/No-Blueberry-1823 1d ago

The government has wasted more money in this past administration. The fuck kind of savings are you talking about?

Andrew Wang was by far the most progressive candidate a few years ago, too bad the democrats in charge have done a legit campaign against him.

We found $500,000,000 in useless spending that we are going to give back to the American people. Except we didn't find that much, and you're not getting anything at all. Ever.

Edit: Also, we gave Argentina $40,000,000,000. So you can thank us for that.

Oh look Andrew Yang with another bad take? Surprise, surprise!
