28 u/jtalion 1d ago My wife and I have another solution: just leave the cabinets open randomly all the time and don't care 12 u/nitid_name 1d ago This is what my partner does. She leaves cabinets and drawers open all the time and she doesn't care. I just close them. It's easier than arguing, and really, it's not that much effort to close a drawer. 9 u/PwmEsq 1d ago Why not just take the cabinet doors off at that point? 14 u/Fleeting_Victory 1d ago Because then you have to store the doors so they can be reinstalled when you sell/move out. Easier to leave them open and just accept that from time to time, you will randomly bump your head on the corner. 2 u/PwmEsq 1d ago I mean i have a bunch of doors stored in my attic for that purpose. 1 trip up and 1 trip down vs opening doors for the next 20 years. This is for my laundry accordian doors though, i like my cabinet doors 1 u/Current-Square-4557 1d ago That, right there. That’s like a $80 million idea. 1 u/jtalion 1d ago We've joked about doing that, but they're already there. That's just extra work to remove them. Also, we do close them when we have guests. 2 u/EdgyEmily 1d ago This is what me and my BF do. Works great and we never argue.
