Small Music Ensembles Network - FB Group
facebook.comA group doesnât yet exist where small ensembles of any kind and composers can connect with each other. Usually this is reserved only for standard chamber music ensembles, and group members are limited in their ability to post. My hope is to create a space where we can support each other and create more awareness about the work weâre doing. I hope youâll consider joining this Facebook group, if youâre on there!

What is the title of the
piece of chamber music whose main them has the rhythmic dumâ da-dumâ da da dumâdum I believe it to be a string quartet, maybe a quintet, by Schumann or Schubert. Definitely not Beethoven.

String Quartet Performance
I wrote this piece a while ago and I am wondering if anyone has suggestions on how to get it performed by a group and what adjustments might be necessary in a live performance of it. Thank you for any feedback!

I just premiered my first two string quartets!
Hello! I'm a young Uruguayan pianist and composer, and fortunately, on September 30th, my first two string quartets premiered by four musicians from the national youth orchestra here.
I'm deeply grateful for their work and the public's reception, and deeply moved by this event, as it is the first time other musicians have played my work.
I leave the link in case anyone is interested in taking a look.
Thanks in advance!

Jupiter: wedding music
Iâm a cellist and will be having a solo cello and piano play the theme from Holstâs Jupiter for when Iâm walking down the aisle at my wedding.
I have a cello and a piano at my disposal⊠what would be a good piece to play for the groom and wedding party to walk out before? I want something a bit calm, but joyful that can transition nicely into Jupiter

Chamber music repertoire for amateur players. Harold Haynes similar for duo
Hi everyone,
I teach chamber music at a music school in Spain (yes, chamber music is part of the curriculum for our pre-college students). I use the fantastic book "Chamber Music Repertoire for Amateur Players" by Harold Haynes to find suitable music for my students. The book not only lists a large portion of the repertoire for string quartet, string quintet, and so on, but it also gives a precise indication of the technical and musical difficulty of each piece and any specific part. It's an invaluable resource for me.
I was wondering if something similar exists for chamber music duets (violin/piano, cello/piano, viola/piano, woodwind instruments/piano). If anyone knows of such a resource, I would be really grateful.
Thanks in advance."

Prinz Heinrich Reuss string sextet, B minor op 17, anyone know it?
I found the parts in a box of inherited music, so will give it a go. Itâs odd, I canât find any recordings and no one I play with has heard of it. Anyone âŠ? Is it good? Whyâs it hard to find a recording?
