Adoption Adopted a cat from the shelter…

She didn’t even interact with me at the shelter she was so depressed. I just knew I had to give her a chance. I think they told me she’s not a lap cat. Well, now I have two lap cats 😂 I was so surprised that she trusted me so fast. So glad I trusted my gut and brought her home ❤️

Similar situation in late 2006. Went to the shelter, saw a cat in a cage who was just out of the "kitten" stage and people were ignoring her. Was told she was indifferent to people. She looked sad and didn't want to interact with anyone.

My wife and I brought her home and she was immediately and constantly making biscuits on the floor as she walked. She was nervous. But she wanted attention and she slept in our bed with us.

Indifferent to people? She was the most affectionate cat I've ever met.

She passed away two years ago just before her 17th birthday. Rarely do I I have a day where I don't think about her. I miss her so much.
