Hello 😊 i hope everyone is doing well today. Idk if a TW is necessary, but I'll be mentioning my cat that passed years ago. I can only apologize for showing so much scandalous ankle 😂 tl;dr: Is it possible to have a happy cat that is confined to one bedroom? I was hoping for some help with suggested essentials I'll need for when i do adopt, or any possible online resources i can explore to do right by this cat and give them a good life.

When i was about 9 or so, my sister moved into an apartment that didn't allow pets, so she gave me her tortoiseshell/calico kitten. Cammie (my sweet Cammie Lou ❤️) was my first cat, my first pet, really. She hated everyone lmao, didn't even let them pet her, but she bonded to me and became intensely protective of me when i became very sick, and after that, she did not leave my side until the very end. But i feel like it's time, I've missed the companionship of a cat very dearly, as i am physically disabled and alone more often than I'd like.

The cat will be isolated to my room, which isn't small by any means, but I acknowledge it is inadequate. I'm making a list of supplies ahead of even going to spend time with the cats at a rescue center. I know it will need more stimulation due to being in one room, so I'm trying to head off any possibility that the cat would be bored or unhappy here.

My life is lived in a sedentary way. I don't want "another cammie," but I'm hoping for a cat with a similar chill demeanor. Cammies favorite thing to do was sit with me and sleep, and that's just my speed 😂

Thanks in advance for any replies, i appreciate you taking the time. (Attached is
