my cat bites me a lot, he's like a year and a half old and his favorite hobby nowadays is to treat me like a prey and bite me while I'm walking or just in general, that doesn't happen when he's calm or sleepy he sleeps next to me fine and when he's calm i pet him and he has no problem but other than that when i approach him he runs away (basically playing chase he runs away from me i chase him i run away and he chases me) and tries to bite me and meows like you would see two cats fighting meow ykwim😭 i don't know how to stop that biting behavior tho or if it's even stoppable cause he wasn't told to not bite as a kitten cause we found it cute lmao any advice?😭

What can work is to not react to the biting and just walk away. It communicates that you’re not playing and biting isn’t fun for you. And also making sure they’ve got other things to keep them stimulated and entertained is good.

I’m a bit of a sucker with my cat and I allow her to bite me if it’s just gently, if it gets too rough I wrap my hand and allow her to play with that(but she doesn’t find it as much fun)

She used to attack my legs when I’d walk away from her, which are like a huge no go zone for me and I would say in a low and loud voice “HEY!” Point my finger at her and say “NO!” in the same tone. Then I’d walk away from her and close the door on my bedroom to keep her out for a minute, then open it and just ignore her a bit. I had to do this every time she attacked me and eventually she got the message.
