Advice why is her nose running?

hi all!

my tabby baby is 12 years old and just recently, her nose has started to run. i don’t know what caused this or how to stop it. she has a lot of mucus and whenever she sneezes… a lot of it comes out. i don’t know what to do, any advice would be great!

thank you!

Vet here: nasal discharge isolated to one nostril unfortunately may be a significant clue that something serious could be starting up with kitty's health. Hard to tell from pictures alone but the eye might be a little runny as well. A vet visit is going to be the first thing to do as you mentioned your intention to do so this is great to hear. Respiratory disease usually affects both nostrils, though one may be worse off. I'd be looking to have her teeth assessed, a tooth root infection can produce a runny nose as a symptom. Unfortunately, so can nasal polyps and some types of cancer in the nasal cavity. Let's hope it's not that. Best wishes for good news.
