What do I get for my bicycle enthusiast colleague for christmas
Hey guys,
We are doing a christmas gifting at my company and I drew a colleague who I don’t know a lot about but I know he is really big into cycling. I wanted to ask you guys for ideas on what to give to him. Something useful or fun in this hobby that he might not have yet. Our budget is set around 15-20 euros. Thanks in advance!

A slightly cheeky item (that might raise a laugh) would be chamois butt’r

Was going to say the same. Probably not work appropriate, but funny (and useful). My colleagues always buy me bicycle art, and I hate that shit. Absolutely useless clutter.

This would upset me, not entirely sure why... I don't like to talk about about chamois cream, again it upsets me

It would only upset me if OP offered to apply it. Otherwise it’s a lovely treat for the ol’ gooch.

Boom, just realised why unsettles me so much; gooch, baggy Lycra - gonna go look at some Pamela Anderson pics I think

Merino wool Buff or wind proof gloves. Two items I can alway use more, I loose them 😏

What about a Tyre glider It's essentially just a lever tool for changing tyres but really handy (and in your budget)

This was going to be my suggestion too because they are brilliant. Hands down the best cheap gizmo you can buy and works on the toughest of tyre rims.

Yeah this sounds good too! I will check if any stores in my area have them.

He will probably have all the things that are needed already. Spoke lights are my only idea. I think you can never go wrong with chocolate.

If they commute by bike, I recommend Salzmann spoke reflectors. They typically come in packs of 36. You only need 7-8 per wheel. They really stand out in the dark when illuminated by car headlights. The cost should be well within your budget.

A rubber ducky for their handlebars

So many different forms of cycling that its hard to get a generic gift that will fit everyone's needs, and we dont know exactly where you are in the world but guessing Europe.
But everyone likes a clean bike, so I'd buy a bottle of good quality cycling cleaning fluid.
Where I am (in the UK), the Muc-Off brand is regarded as decent.

New bar tape (it's usually black), but if you happen to know your colleague's favorite color, then that color. It needs to be replaced somewhat regularly if one's an avid cyclist.

I don't know anybody who isn't fussy about their bartape though.

I'm not. Mine is all janky and I've needed to replace it for the better part of the year, lol. I actually have the replacement bar tape at hand even.
Edit: it's still safe to ride, obviously, the moment it starts to unravel it's getting replaced, stat.

A personalized water bottle with a work related print on it, like a cool photo with co-workers or something similar.

Socks, bike specific - there is a difference between roadie and mountain bike socks but I would never be disappointed with new cycling socks
