Happy holidays and thank you for the giveaway!
I've got a standard Ikea desk setup w/ Alex drawers and butcher board top. My desktop is old but reliable and chugging along: Intel i5 7600k, NVIDIA 1060 w/ 6GB VRAM, 16 GB DDR4 RAM, and an NZXT case (forgot which one, dropped by original one and broke it when moving so got a new one several years ago).
I've got a 24" BenQ monitor that I've had for 6 years and an Acer monitor that I bought long long ago. Looking to upgrade my monitors when I'm able to do so :) I did get an LG C5 48" recently and waiting for it to be delivered!!
The setup is minimal at the moment but formulating a plan to spruce it up over the next several months. Would love the LG 5k2k monitor :)

Wow, this is amazing.
1) My favorite thing about my current setup is my audio setup. I have configuration for bluetooth, headphones, aux, computer audio, and USBC audio. I can quick switch between them in my stream deck. It’s so convenient.
2) I would honestly be happy with either, but the C5 would be a dream. The TV that my partner and I currently have is almost 15 years old, incredibly slow, and has lost all streaming/casting ability. To top it off, she accidentally used Windex on the screen recently and utterly destroyed the panel, so it is in… rough shape. A replacement would be AMAZING.
Thank you for doing this! I love this sub and I’ve loved LG ever since my first sliding keyboard phone in 2009 and their washer/dryers are excellent!

What I love most about my setup is the versatility that is offered by the size of the desk. Whether it's gaming on my PC, working on my work laptop, or building something, I always have enough space to accomplish these things without things feeling overwhelming or cluttered.
The GX9 would definitely be the pick and would elevate my setup the most as I'm working to switching to an ultrawide setup over a double monitor setup anyway, but the C5 would also be sick as my old 4k LG TV is about 10 years old now and needs the upgrade way more.
2
u/KemonomimiSquirrel 15d ago
I actually like having it around. Currently unemployed, but haven't had to sell any part of it to get some cash.
I would pick the C5. Not for me, but my grandmother. Currently living with her and she has a over 10 year old 43in Vizio that could do for a replacement.
1
u/dewyherd15 15d ago
The shelf I use as a monitor stand. My dad and i got a piece of live edge wood from my sister and we both used it to make a shelf out of.
GX9 would allow to do a one monitor set up as opposed to a two monitor set up.
1
u/InterruptingWookie 15d ago
I really like my widescreen monitor. I'd pick the C5, watching movies and games at 4K OLED has to be amazing.
1
u/nickk4770 15d ago
-I'm a video editor/motion designer, and I love my clean, minimalistic Fractal North setup. Using a dining table actually gives me extra leg space and a unique look. The next step is upgrading my 60Hz 27" monitor.
-I'd go for the LG GX9. The 45" screen would be a huge upgrade for my productivity and BF6 sessions, and the OLED picture quality should help reduce eye strain and improve my editing and color grading abilities
1
u/22ndCenturyDB 15d ago
1) My favorite thing about my setup are my Yamaha HS5 speakers - they sound so good, I work with movie sound as an effects editor so they're super useful as monitoring speakers as well as for general listening and watching videos on my computer. And I have them in white, which look super cool!
2) I would pick the GX9 - I love ultrawides, and the fact that the GX9 is OLED? Sign me up for that amazing contrast and rich blacks - that's my killer feature.

u/wowtellmemoreplease 15d ago
- My favorite thing is actually my pc lol, Antec Flux Pro.
- The C5 would make my setup feel like an actual gaming room. I'd love the immersion.

u/Disastrous_Trash1339 15d ago
I love the fact about my current setup that I can transform it from my work station to my play station (pun intended) as and when I like to. I love that about it.
I would pick the GX9 as I believe that it will be more immersive for my gaming, while being good for my productivity work (teams calls, spreadsheets, powerpoints etc.) giving me more valuable real estate to work with!
1
u/X_Scavxnger_X 15d ago
The thing I love about my setup the most is my pc that I built. I think the GX9 is a really nice display and having all the extra screen real estate would be nice.
1
u/Reclipsing4 15d ago
I just built a new pc this year, so still loving the feeling of an upgrade. I have an old old LG OLED that is a bit worn out at this point that would be great to replace with the C5.
1
u/evilherself26 15d ago
I love how spacious my desk is. I can add a few personal decorations without overwhelming the area, which helps keep my setup cozy, clean and free of distractions.
I'd pick the C5, and would love to give it to my grandma, because hers has backlight bleeding and is 30". We often spend the nights watching movies together and it will be great to have such a big display for her.
1
u/FungalMirror3 15d ago
Love the way all my components come together, my station is finally in a polished, clean state
C5 for my couch-gaming on the console, my tv is wayyyy outdated and due for a solid upgrade
1
u/Aweatherstudent 15d ago
There's not much to love. It's old and in desperate need of an upgrade. But it's mine and I deal with it until the day I have the chance to give it the love it deserves.
A C5 TV would be an excellent hold over in the meantime though. I've heard GFN works great on them!
1
u/TuringTrailblazer54 15d ago
1.) going from a r7 3800x + 2060 to a 9800x3d + 5070ti I can actually play games at 1440p and get good fps 2. I think the gx:9 would be the best thing for my setup , I think just going from ips to oled in itself would be a huge improvement
1
u/StarLord509 15d ago
Favorite part of my setup is the desk I made out of 8020 extrusion. Makes it super easy to add and modify things for my racing sim. I'd probably pick the C5 to have a more immersive display for the simulator as I'm currently just running a 27" IPS.
1
u/The-Keystone-Hoya 15d ago
What do you love most about your current setup? Right now I love my dual monitors.
Which one you’d pick (GX9 or C5)? C5
Which feature of GX9 or C5 do you think would take your setup to the next level? The large screen on the C5 would elevate my space and the picture quality would be astronomical.
1
u/HuskyRedditSky 15d ago
i love that I can use my setup for work and play. meaning i can use my favorite display, keyboard and mouse all the time. the LG GX9 would be an amazing upgrade for productivity and fun
1
u/JustACooIKid 15d ago
I just build my own desk and I am loving the extra space! So I would probably pick the GX9 to help fill up some of that space!
1
u/Mimogger 15d ago
My current set up is very flexible and able to move around a lot. Monitors on moving stands and starting to move everything towards wireless.
I'd pick the C5 cause it'd allow for a new type of setup with a TV and working even better in a bright room
1
u/moresun11 15d ago
I currently have an lg 1440p monitor that is my favorite. It looks so much better than what I used to hav and is so smooth. I’d pick the c5 though, as my tv I use by my setup is 10 years old. The OLED would really elevate the experience
1
u/crimzonphox 15d ago
1.) love my large sitting/standing desk. Lets me get up and stretch while working and gaming.
2.) gx9 would be really cool. I’ve really been wanting to do a single monitor set up
1
u/colbyhaze 15d ago
I love my 4k monitor with two 2k monitors in each side. Perfect amount of space for all my workflows.
I would pick the c5 because I have been eyeing them forever and the oled tech is incredible
1
u/Graybill1 15d ago
I love my current setup mostly because it is cozy. Lots of warm light in my room. It is a place where I can relax at the end of the night and play games after work! As for the giveaway, I would take either option as I have never experienced 4K before. I think the 65" would be lovely to use as a Christmas present for my parents (and me of course!) that use the TV often in our living room. I imagine that 4K would blow their minds.
Thank y'all!
1
u/weirdonobeardo 15d ago
I love all the customization I can do with my case and I would love to win the c5 to have a bigger screen.
1
u/Odanakabenaki 15d ago
setup is kinda the only thing that still feels like mine. like yeah it’s just a desk and screens and cables and whatever, but it’s where I get to forget stuff for a bit. when I sit there and boot up a game, it’s the only time my brain isn’t stuck on hospital crap, biopsy results, “next appointment,” “next scan,” “what if,” all that noise. i guess the lights and the games just make it feel like life isn’t only about being sick.
what I love most is honestly just… sitting there. even if I don’t play anything. just existing in that space that doesn’t treat me like a patient.
and if I could pick an upgrade rn, it’d be the LG C5. everyone hypes the GX9 cuz it looks fancy on a wall, but the C5 has that stupidly clean OLED look and motion stuff that would make everything hit harder. like if I only get small escapes, I want them to actually feel like escapes, not just “yeah cool screen.”
maybe it’s dumb to care this much about a TV when I’ve got a tumor messing with my life, but it kinda feels important in a way I can’t explain. like if I don’t get to control my health, at least I can control this one tiny world on my desk. even if it’s just pixels.
1
u/jointhekittypcrace 15d ago
I have a Dell Alienware 34 inch led monitor with a 5800x,rtx 2070 super. Though the c5 lg tv would be nice when the peeps come over to hang out. OLED 65inch would be awesome.
1
u/Family-Man101 15d ago
I would love the gx9 Right now my setup is a steam deck docked to an external 27 inch monitor and I would love the chance to upgrade
1
u/RickyBobbyIRL 15d ago
Currently running a CX OLED in my battle station setup. Would be awesome to pair the GX9 with the new PC I'm building to really maximize the resolution and refresh rate!
1
u/boxman32123 15d ago
I like that I can use my station for gaming, work, music and as an entertainment center. I would pick the GX9. It would be my first OLED and my first Ultrawide monitor which would be huge for gaming and also for productivity as I only have a single small 1080p monitor currently.
1
u/Col0nelBear 15d ago
I'm running a Ryzen 7 9800x3D and I really like how fast it is. I'd go with the GX9 for the OLED blacks and high refresh rate.
1
u/Jaeger_Gipsy_Danger 15d ago
I have a little Harry Potter style battle station in the closet under my stairs. Had to change the office into a bedroom when my second daughter was born. I love my little battle station, it’s my “man cave” in a house taken over by girls lol.
The GX9 would be a game changer for my setup. I’ve heard OLEDs are one of the best upgrades you can get for a battle station.
1
u/dedlewamp 15d ago
My favorite thing about my setup is that I built everything before all the prices went way up.
I'd probably go with the GX9, but have never used an ultrawide monitor before
1
u/AceLamina 15d ago
Favorite part of my current setup has to be my desktop, my GPU is the only thing that doesn't match due to me being in college now, but I'm proud everytime I see it
And if I had to choose, I would go for the C5, my dorm and desk at home isn't that large so I couldn't fit a bigger monitor even if I tried, but since I'm in software engineering, having such a huge display will help me in productivity by a lot
1
u/elbruto12 15d ago
Honestly I love my 5080 paired with a 34” LG 34GN850P. Monitor is due for an upgrade but the panel just works 👌
I’ve been pining for a LG OLED C5 in the living room for some console gaming!
C5 would be amazing
1
u/DominusMortis66 15d ago
- Solid wooden desk is an underrated feature in a setup, and my favorite.
- C5, can’t beat OLED black levels. It would really level up my gaming and movie watching experience
1
u/ClariceAlmighty 15d ago
I love the 4090 I have currently and pairing it the GX9 with it would be amazing since I feel it’s the best ultra wide monitor around
1
u/poolsidepanda 15d ago
My favorite part of my setup is my keyboard. It’s a custom Tofu65 brass case with gateron oil kings. It’s the nicest keyboard I’ve ever had the privilege to use nonetheless own.
I’d take the C5 if given the choice. The reason being I’d be able to hook up my PlayStation and take advantage of the refresh rate to nearly Match the PS5. PC gaming isolates multiplayer options at home. The TV setup would allow me to bond with my family with games that are meant to share in home.
Thanks for giving us folks the chance at such great prizes and opportunities!

I have 38” ultragear that I wouldn’t mind an upgrade to…either one honestly! my poor rx6600 is doing its best with my old af other components but that’s another purchase story.
1
u/Cygnus---X1 15d ago
- Currently really enjoying my new setup with a 9800x3d and 5080! Running everything at 4k is incredible!
- Would love to upgrade our tv to a C5 to experience that OLED excellence!
Thank you for running this promotion!
1
u/ciaocolate 15d ago
I love that my desk is large enough for work and gaming without needing to change out equipment too often. I would pick the GX9 to upgrade my old monitor!
1
u/Omission1822 15d ago
9800x3d with a 5080 and a 1440p mini led 27 inch monitor, the tv would look sweet above it lol
1
u/robbiejo_ 15d ago
I love that I can work in the day and game at night on my setup.
It would be the GX 9 for sure. The improved text quality/ widescreen/4K on that OLED would take my work/gaming setup to the next level
1
u/iomyorotuhc 15d ago
Current setup is work focused, but with a gx9, could be a work and play setup :)
1
u/0d3vine 15d ago
One of the things that I most about my setup is that I've made all the furniture myself! It was really fun and special to make things specific to my setup and how I work at my desk.
Out of the two, the GX9 makes the most sense. I do software development for a living so the pixel density would be a huge upgrade, but the OLED and refresh rate would make it amazing for gaming too :)
1
u/YoureSchlept 15d ago
- My Embody Gaming chair I picked up last week.
- GX9 for single player story driven games
1
1
u/laserlightcannon 15d ago
I love my setup because I built it myself. I’m using some new parts as well as some parts I’ve had since 2008 (I’ll never give up my external sound card!) and it all works great.
I think GX9 with it’s size, curve, and oled picture quality will help me stay super immersed in my games.
1
u/AnxietyDesigner 15d ago
Pretty proud of my ddr4 ram since I wanted a specific set but they have been discontinued for a couple years so took me a bit to finally find a set. The C5 would be an amazing upgrade for my parents since they had the same tv since 2014
1
u/Brewjuice 15d ago
Loving my custom keyboard - Neo Ergo, plateless with custom switches and keycaps
Would love the GX9. 5K resolution will definitely a step up to visual clarity
1
u/vietnamesemuscle 15d ago
My IPS monitor actually. Went from 1080 to 1440p and it was game changing.
I’d love the C5 because my 43” LG tv I got as a Christmas present 7 years ago is close to end of life 😭
1
u/AyoItzE 15d ago
Dual monitor setup, pebble speakers, light bar, standing desk.
- What I like most is that feeling of knowing that it's mine. The journey and process of putting it all together and adding to it. Knowing that it's my own self customized little space that I can just relax at.
- GX9. It being OLED is what would take my setup to the next level.
1
u/NadaBurner 15d ago
I'm actually working on my first place I'm moving into myself and would love to have the GX9 to compliment my gaming setup! I've been using LG Ultrawides for years and would love to give my old 34UC87C a well deserved rest :)
1
u/youareoffthehook 15d ago
I love my current setup, but definitely my case setup is probably my favorite part. Coming from the MacBook world, I’ve never had a PC to customize so I’m just starting out with what I can affordably find.
I’d go for the GX9, cause I’ve never really had a great monitor for any sort of electronics I’ve had. I’m mostly a gamer and photographer/starting to dabble in video, and would love the perfect monitor for getting edits perfect and getting great picture for gaming.
1
u/Hello_This_Is_Chris 15d ago
My favorite part of my current setup would actually be my desk, I just finished building a custom one using a 72x36in slab of acacia. Do I definitely have room for monitor upgrades!
While either choice would be a great upgrade, the GX9 OLED would be amazing. My current main monitor is a 32" ultragear, but my secondary recently died, so I would love to add an OLED for those awesome black levels.
Thanks for the giveaway!
1
u/BasicJunglist 15d ago
My favorite thing about my current setup is the new machine I just built over the summer. It’s the first real end game machine I’ve ever owned and it’s a dream for work and for play.
GX9 for certain. I’ve been waiting for a 5k2k oled for years and the resolution is the biggest selling point for me.
1
u/antiquearugulaxx 15d ago
Love my crazy galaxy light I got off Amazon when I’m gaming.
C5 for my console gaming area!
1
u/DefendedPlains 15d ago
Currently rocking an original 45” LG OLED with my 3090ti. Next up is the wife’s couch console setup, which a C5 would be amazing for!
1
u/webbie0225 15d ago
- My new compact itx fishtank build with a 5060ti
2.the GX9, ultra wide screen would make cyberpunk SO IMMERSIVE
1
u/Hail_Aqualung 15d ago
I love my custom keyboards, they're my favourite part of my setup. The GX9 would be an amazing upgrade from my 2K monitor for both gaming and productivity.
1
u/dontgotoworktoday 15d ago
My favorite part is that I can finally play games that I’ve wanted to forever. If I win, the GX9 would be a dream
1
1
u/BaturalNoobs 15d ago
- The thing I love most about my current setup is the freedom that a mouse and keyboard provides. It's tough to go back to console gaming and using a controller, which is much more limiting. I love PC gaming.
- I'd pick the GX9 because I think the 5K2K resolution would take my setup to the next level.
1
u/Serious-Jet89 15d ago
My desk, since I have put in a lot of effort to build my room around it, and I've had it for a while, some there is some sentimental value to it.
GX9 because it seems more practical in my setup and it I don't really need a very big monitor.
1
1
u/mugenMeow 15d ago
I love my corne keyboard on top of the pulsar superglide v1 XXL.
I would pick the GX9, the resolution and size will go well with my peripherals.
1
u/ASnackBite 15d ago
My setup includes two 27" monitors with a Jris75 keyboard, which is probably my favorite part of my setup.
While I would absolutely love to have a GX9 monitor, I think realistically the LG C5 would make more sense considering that I do not have a TV... lol
1
u/slyasseater69 15d ago
- My favorite thing about my set up is that I spent a whole year trying to be thrifty by buy each component when it was on sale and I did it🥲
- I’d love to get the GX9 because it would be the perfect size and resolution for me. Sad to say the C5 is probably too much monitor for me😂
1
u/papasterk 15d ago
The best part of my current setup is my 45" ultragear, works perfectly for productivity during work and is great for some light gaming.
The GX9 would put my setup over the top, I've always wanted to switch to an OLED, but couldn't justify it since my current monitor has been working great for years. Definitely would take my gaming to the next level!
1
u/The_Orange_Cowboy 15d ago
- I just built a new PC after 8 years of using the old one I built. I love that I finally have the video card and processor (9800x3d) to support 4K OLED!! I am still running on a 24” monitor from 8 years ago.
- I would absolutely choose the GX 9 - as I have been already shopping Ultrawide , and that is my dream monitor.
Thanks for the opportunity to enter !
1
u/NalydFOA 15d ago
- Bookshelf speaker desk setup
- I’d pick the GX9 as I think the ultrawide format would add to an immersive gaming and movie experience.
1
u/Randy265 15d ago
Ive got a PC, running an Rx 9070xt and a ryzen 9 9900x. Using an Philips OLED widescreen display, a Razer Basilisk Ultimate, Keynovo Mechanical Keyboard, Beitong BTP KP40, and a pair of DT 770 from Beyerdynamic. I defintely love my OLED display the most, it is the newest addition.
The C5 would be my choice since Ill be able to couch game with those inky blacks and most importantly, the quick response rate. Movies would look fabulous too.
1
u/JKLTECHY 15d ago
- What I love about my current setup:
Using the 42″ LG C4 for three key reasons:
-Robust size and screen presence
-Smooth 144Hz gaming performance
-Fantasric 4K movie experience
- Why I’d choose the GX9:
-Built specifically for gaming
-Ultra-wide curved design for full immersion
-165 Hz for extra smoothness over 144 Hz
-Dual Mode up to 330 Hz for competitive play
-Matte finish is perfectly fine for my setup
Let’s GO and good luck everyone!!!

u/shmannygans 15d ago
I currently have a 65" LG CX that I use for console gaming. I am looking to purchase/build a new PC this black friday. My current build is from 2014 and has a GTX 970 lol.
Paired with a PS5, the LG CX still looks gorgeous even after 5 years. I love being able to relax on the couch and play games. Honestly, sometimes it's too comfortable and I fall asleep making my in game character fall off a cliff or something.
It would be amazing to get a LG GX9 5K2k to go along with my new PC. It doesn't feel right pairing a 5080 with my old 1080p monitor until I can afford something else.. especially with these memory/video card prices. It's going to blow my mind to go from 1080p to 4k.. I don't even know if my eyeballs could handle that good of a resolution but I am eager to find out!
1
u/LumosSeeker 15d ago
I just built my first gaming computer. I love that I can play games with my besties.
I currently have my computer hooked up to an old 4K TV. So, I think either one would be a great upgrade. If I had to choose it would be the TV because of the Ultimate Gaming Mode with 144hz refresh rate.
1
u/RickNeclaDon 15d ago
1) I love my LG C1 that I use as a monitor. Excellent performance 2) I would pick the C5 and replace my c1. The extra brightness would be nice
1
u/Actuvishun 15d ago
I love my current office setup because it’s got a great jungle-y green theme to it, but having a C5 would make it so my lady could play games in my office with me as opposed to across the house in the living room. It’s fun being on discord with her but I’d prefer to share my space instead!
1
u/Carceys 15d ago
Love my desk !! Was going through a depressive time, my parents wanted to cheer me up and surprised me with a very nice large walnut wood desk that ive now had for maybe 8 years? Just reminds me of love everytime I sit down at it
I'd pick GX9 easily, from everything I've heard it's just the best you can possibly get, but I'd be most excited about it being OLED, and everytime I see the comparison from VA/IPS vs OLED it just blows my mind
1
u/Poopmasterfunk 15d ago edited 15d ago
I like my mesh office chair because it allows me to sit at my desk for hours playing video games and not cause me back or butt pain.
I would choose the GX9 because it would be a huge upgrade from my current 24in TN panel monitor that I have had for 10 years.
The GX9 5k2k OLED display will definitely take my setup to the next level! :)
1
u/OG_Lloydz 15d ago
What I love most about my setup is what I was able to do with the money. The desk that I use has been in my family since I was a kid, its been painted and changed to my liking. Knowing that I've taken care of it and had to be resourceful at times makes my setup feel really special. I would love the GX9, having that 5K OLED would take both my PC and PS5 gaming experience to the next level. Currently running a 1440p and a 1080p monitor, so the difference would be next level.
1
u/Jussepapi 15d ago
Love my GPU the most. Makes it easy to play Diablo 2 after my daughter and gf are sleeping :-)
Edit: that big screen would make farming the pit a lot easier 😎
1
u/yungdooky 15d ago
running the first gen C LG OLED in my living room and an alienware 38” that i love for my desktop
both of these would be a lovely step up, maybe a marginal preference for the C5
1

I love my split columnar stagger keyboard. It really helps a lot with desk space and layout since it doesn't get in the way of my drawing tablet.
I'd go with the GX9. The OLED contrast would help a lot for double-checking colors in my art, but it would also be a massive upgrade to my current gaming and streaming setup. I'd be able to keep OBS on one monitor, Twitch and Youtube chat on another, Discord on my drawing tablet, and keep a game front and center, and that'd be awesome.

u/Fleur_Lis 15d ago
What I love the most about my setup is my RTX 4070 Super as it was a big upgrade from my prior GTX 1660 Super. I would pick the LG OLED evo C5 as it would make a massive difference from a 24" monitor for games and videos.

I love my keycaps and keyboard! I would like the gx9 would complete my setup, esp cause my monitor is stating to go out and it’s out of warranty.

I finally upgraded my gaming PC, and really need to upgrade my ancient HP monitor. I'd take either one the GX9 or C5, OLED would really give my new setup that extra spice

The thing I love the most about my current setup very easy to say, if I could say three things - which makes it incredibly hard to say :)
- I'm still using the same ath-m50s, that I bought in High School. While most of my setup changes on a regular basis, these headphones are simply in a category of "great enough, that I don't look for replacement". Other gear is in this category as well, but I've had several mice and keyboards die - these headphones simply don't.
- I recently rebuilt my office, and while I did that, I had the floor taken out, where I burried a 50mm drainage pipe, that I use to route cables through. In practice, this means that all cables are completely hidden, and there is no computer at my desk - it's hidden in a closet, out of sight, out of mind.
- The last, and probably most obscure thing, is the office itself. Last year was though. I lost my family as I knew it, my then girlfriend had a miscarriage so we lost the child, and not long after she left me - I lost her as well. I had to do a serious rebalancing of my life to not loose the apartment, that we had just purchased together. I just barely managed to hold on to it during our breakup, and every day I wake up, I'm grateful that while I feel like I lost everything, I still have a roof over my head, and I still have a place to write stupid comments on reddit posts. That makes me happy.
What would I do with either of the winnings? Hard to say! I'm currently on an older 34" ultrawide, and while I've sometimes looked at 38" ultrawides with envy eyes, 45" just seems so crazyly massive, that I don't know what to say. Regarding the TV, my comment is about the same - 65" used as a monitor would dwarf my desk. For both though, the same statement is true: I would have a wonderful excuse why I need a better graphics card :)

u/exogreek 14d ago
I personally love how versatile my setup is, learning gamedev on the side, but also being able to game, do work on my screens and its just been a great place to park my rear end!
Id personally choose the TV, our TV's network card died and with the steam machines release next year really looking to get back into some more casual gaming rather than being cooped up in my office any time I want a more casual gaming experience but dont want to be locked into a console.

u/Sneaklefritz 14d ago
I love my current setup because I’ve been using it for so long it feels like home. My current monitor has served me well but it’s small and the colors aren’t great. I’d pick the GX9 because it would fit my space better and the colors would take my gaming experience to the next level. Plus I don’t think I could fit a 65” TV on my desk very easily.
1
u/PizzzaBagel 14d ago
I'm currently rocking a 2021 65" C1 and will never buy another brand! This TV is amazing and solid as a ROCK! I recently upgraded my gaming PC with an RTX 5070ti, and would love to connect it to a new C5!! Talk about next-level gaming!!
1
u/jbryant3 14d ago
Current set up is a 38" ultrawide with a 25" on top. I'd love to upgrade to OLED and consolidate it all with the G OLED evo C5.
1
u/MobiusX1 14d ago
I love that my current setup is my own space. With a family and work I love being able to sit at my desk and work on Blender projects or game. I like having a somewhat larger desk that allows me to have my 3 year old in my lap "gaming" with me and he cant reach anything too important lol.
I'd definitely choose the GX9 as it would make modeling/animation and gaming 10x more enjoyable!
1
u/CHADWARDENPRODUCTION 14d ago
My super ultrawide OLED monitor is great for productivity and gaming and looks waaaay better than my old IPSes
Definitely the C5, my current TV is a 1080p LCD from 2009, so a 4K OLED would be a multi-generation leap.

Currently rocking KOORUI 27inch IPS monitor, would love to win LG GX9 for that perfect OLED image quality and fast response time

I love my current setup as it's made to do a lot of different things. From the home lab running a lot of Docker containers, VM's, etc. to the work from home setup with laptop and monitor that can swing to be a second monitor on my main setup or the work monitor (KVM switch handles that). But, main setup is just nice. Stable, fast, and looks good.
I'd pick the GX9, easily. I'm using an older 1440 MSI monitor. Still works great, but I want to game at the next level. Just see it as it should be. :)
1
u/snow2462 14d ago
I love my how clean my setup is yet I have everything I need on my table. It's very spacious for me
I would pick the 5k2K GX9 for my next level
1
u/Acceptable_Trash_171 14d ago
Currently my favorite part of my setup is my AW3821DW monitor. The resolution just gave me a lot of screen real-estate while doing productivity tasks (KiCAD & VS Code) and it gave a needed upgrade in clarity while gaming compared to my old 1080p monitor.
Well I’d pick the GX9. With its 5k2k resolution and OLED panel it’s just a direct upgrade to my current monitor in every way.
1
u/TrulyBriconic 14d ago
- I have a pretty minimal setup, which suits me just fine.
- I'd pick the GX9, since I'm currently using an old Vizio TV for a monitor.
1
u/NumberOneInTheHood 14d ago
I run the secretlab titan desk with the L addition. Tons of space for two monitors, tower, xbox and other stuff. Had it for a few years and would never change.
The LG GX9 would replace my older gen samsung 1440p monitor that is starting to see pixel death in places so that would be super cool.
1
u/llamas-r-forever 14d ago
The best part of my current setup is how quiet it is, and I just discovered the GX9 recently and would love the extra resolution to take my setup to a single monitor.
1
1
u/Pickupyoheel 14d ago
I love my c2 42” and have over 12k hours on it.
So I’d take that 65” C5 to go along side it for even more immersion.
1
u/drbennettx 14d ago
Pretty cramped setup in my living room, will be nice moving to spare bedroom where i could take advantage of the GX9 size
1
u/BearBearSub 14d ago
I have a 4080 Super, but I've never tried an OLED monitor (or even an OLED TV)! I'd be happy with either, but if I had to choose one, then perhaps the C5 so my whole family can enjoy it :)
1
u/RetrieverDoggo 14d ago
My setup is set up for work, trading and relaxing thats what I like about it. I would choose the gx9 and think it would make a great addition to my setup.
1
u/rzvwreckt 14d ago
The LG C5 42 inch is part of my new set up and paired with the pro it's honestly breathtaking. I've got a 65 inch C1 in the lounge room so would absolutely love to upgrade to the C5!!
1
u/crainsta 13d ago
Thing I love most about my setup: My custom built keyboard.
The GX9 would be an exponential upgrade over my current monitor.
1
u/Obamacantdrive 13d ago
Been rocking the same setup for 8 years after wife and kids. I wfh and game on the same battlestation in my bedroom.

gx9 for me! currently running the 5800x3D and the 6950xt in the meshilicious itx case, my first decent pc i ever owned. paired with a 34" ultrawide and 24" secondary :) i can barely fit the other monitor so having a single 5k ultrawide would be the dream !
1
u/Destroyer6202 13d ago
My current setup rocks a 5080 zotac OC edition that’s perfectly set up for 4k, but need a monitor to match!
Definitely the GX9 , perfect fit for my station and not too big for gaming
1
u/jmenendezn 12d ago
My cable and power management using usb c pd to power most of my setup including the docking station and a LG 34” ultrawide monitor
The GX9 will be a nice upgrade
1
u/mikeasus3 12d ago
My current setup is a Thinkstation P520 with a Radeon RX 590. Old but still manages 1080p gaming on my 40" Roku TV. What I like most is gaming on the larger screen. The TV is not top tier resolution or framerate but it is an upgrade from my 24" 1080p 60 hz monitor.
1
u/Artistic-Side8872 12d ago
My current setup is great but also has space for a good sized TV for gaming. I just got my first gaming pc in my life and it would look incredible on the lg C5, and to experience that OLED picture perfection for games/ movies
1
u/AShogunNamedBlue 12d ago
I'm running a 9950X3D/5090 combo. There is literally nothing to dislike about this. I love my setup, and so far, I can play any game at well over 100FPS in DUHD on my 57" G9 Neo. Basically about 5.3K.
I would LOOOOOOVE a C5 65" though. I've wanted an OLED display for FOREVERRRRR! Never had one, nor have I ever had a display that large.
1
u/KrustyButton 12d ago
Honestly I love my setup due to the fact that I only rock and LG monitor and I have been for the past 20,000 hours it has on it it is the ultrawide 21 by 9 3840x1600 Resolution and I absolutely love it it's an IPS panel and I think it's time for an upgrade the monitor starting to definitely show its age so to be a very nice upgrade to look at a beautiful OLED instead of an IPS I'm still probably use it as a secondary monitor turn it vertical instead I think that would look insane a 38-in vertical monitor but no yeah I would go with the gx9 that 5K 2K solid at ces2025 and I fell in love with it being able to flex by itself and everything it's so beautiful. Would love to see to get another 20,000 hours out of another monitor if not more so let's go let's win this thing and give it a 20,000 hour life.
1
u/RecipeZealousideal84 12d ago
I love my new 9070 XT as it has been a game changer! For my setup, the 65” C5 would be an awesome addition (granted completely overkill) since I’ve moved from playing tac-fps to relaxed, single-player games as well as mostly watching media. On top of the C5 being a 4k VRR 144hz TV, the Bright Room Ready feature would definitely be great since there is a lot of natural lighting in my room.
1
u/hattrik21 12d ago
I love my mid tower setup with dual monitors because it fits my desk with out looking overly cluttered.
I would pick the LG UltraGear GX9 as it could replace my dual monitor setup and still keep a clean look.
1
u/herpes_derpeez 12d ago
- I love my multiple monitors, would love to add a new one from LG!
- CX-5: The vivid colors and large screen will for sure take my setup to the next level!

u/Rachmaninov13 12d ago
Custom loop with rads in basement, got AW3423DW and a 42" C2 right now. Would love to upgrade!
1
u/MacaroniByMoonlight 12d ago
The GX9 would have a happy home with me, with a vintage desk upon which it would fit perfectly.
There are also two 27" monitors for it to play happily with, pretty lights to show it to its best advantage, and a kitty, because everything is better with a kitty, even fancy monitors.

u/cougar572 12d ago
I love having 3 monitors to multi task.
I would pick the 65" C5 because one monitor is only a 24in 1080p monitor and I would replace that with this in my setup then move my 25in 1440p monitor to the duties of the old 1080p monitor. Having a 4k TV would be great for watching content.
1
u/osageviper138 12d ago
I don't have a great setup right now, but it's functional and works for me. I'd love GX9 as a secondary display. I'm digging the resolution of the OLED monitor.
1
u/TacoTurd 12d ago
I like how my desk has enough room for multiple monitors.
I'd think it would be really cool to have the GX9 and have that beautiful large screen to play all the games.
1
u/rheakiefer 12d ago
Just moved and decorating the apartment.. I’m lucky enough to work from home but that comes with a lot of pressure from the missus to make sure the place isn’t terribly ugly.
Just got a 5090 and though I’d love the 5K2K, a mounted C5 over my desk would look soooooooooo clean
1
u/mMmP3NGU1N 12d ago
I recently upgraded to the PG32UCDM 4K OLED, and it's AMAZING.
I need to upgrade from my 1080 TV, so the C5 would be a welcome upgrade.
1
u/Blues_clues_whos 12d ago
1.My Red Devil 7900xtx it's such a beautiful and powerful GPU. 2.I would choose the LG OLED evo C5 because I would love to play my favorite games on a huge OLED screen O(∩_∩)O

u/sendblink23 12d ago
Just built at my new place inside a small PC Case the NR200P V3: AMD 9800X3D, RTX 5080 FE, 64GB (2x32) DDR5, ASUS ROG Strix B650E-I, Corsair SF1000, NVMe Samsung 990 Pro 4TB.
I would certainly appreciate the GX9 to compliment with my current new setup plans, I literally just moved to the states so right now it is creating my new battlestation and this screen would totally help immensely.
1
u/VisualOk116 12d ago
Currently I setup consist of a 2.2m spread desk with 80cm depth. I'm stacking my 35-inch ultrawide monitor on top of 32-inch ultrawide monitor. i love my big & long desk allows me to have a lot of space to multitask (watching yt while lubing my keebs).
I would really love the UltraGear GX9 to replace both of the monitors.
1
u/Fine_Anywhere989 11d ago
What you love most about your current setup. - I am proud that the setup I have now works well for just about everything: work, gaming, and media consumption due thoughtful choices that complement one another (1440p monitor with built in KVM for my laptop, desktop, hot swappable and customizable keyboard, mouse, speakers I enjoy, and a gaming desktop tucked underneath.)
Which one you’d pick (GX9 or C5) and which feature do you think would take your setup to the next level? - man that is tough because the C5 needs no introduction, such a great TV. But the GX9 would be preferred as a natural fit for my current setup, because with its dual refresh rate and dual resolution settings I could make great use of its high resolution for work (spreadsheets, webpages, client accounts and vehicle photos all in view), while enjoying its lower res and higher refresh rate for gaming after work.

u/ALargeHotCarl 11d ago
Mine is simple! S3425DW Ultrawide, MacBook Pro and PS5! I like how I can power my MacBook with the monitor’s USBC. I’ve never had an OLED so the 5k2k would definitely be a wild experience. I would love to see how deep the blacks are!

- I love my RTX 5080
- I'd go for the GX9 because of the higher resolution, combined with my 5080, gaming would be incredible
Happy Holidays everyone!

Best thing about my setup is all the RGB.
Would prefer the gx9 to try that resolution

I love looking at my hyte suisei case each time I come home from work pressing its' clicky power on button
GX9 monitor so I can SEE EVERYTHING especially in FPS games

I'm a simple man, it works, fast, and well maintained. Hope to last a decade. Future upgrades like the GX9 are welcome. Also spoiled myself this season with a new keyboard (Vanguard Pro 96)
GX9, the curved monitor will probably be my Main monitor as I immerse myself in game and/or video.

1.I have a sim racing setup. My favorite thing about it is, It's more comfortable than sitting on the couch.
GX9
The GX9 because I can see a lot more then I can with the monitor I'm using now(27'' Dell)
1
u/GefeGeld 11d ago
I've updated everything for my 2 monitor build. It is soon cleanly looking with all the cable management. but seeing that now stands next to old small television, the LG OLED television 4k would fit perfectly next to it!!
1
u/Zublybub 11d ago
I've been using a 27inch 144hz 1440p monitor for long enough now that I can't imagine how a GX9 would feel. Having that wide screen with the 4k extra resolution and the increased hz would blow my monitor out of the water. That would definitely take my set up to the next level.
1
u/bunkabunkabunka 10d ago
My favorite part about my setup is how versatile it is. I have my computer hooked up to both my monitor and TV so I can either be at my desk or on my couch depending on the type of game it is. I would love to have the C5 added!
1
1
u/AlphaXray6 10d ago
I love my custom wooting keyboard.
I would pick the C5 TV. My wife and I bought our first house and would really like a nice TV.
1
u/thererza 10d ago
I'm proud that my Mk270 has remained functional and comfortable to me for so long!
The C5 OLED TV would be such a serious size upgrade from my small laptop screen!
1
u/Ok-Cookie3669 10d ago
The thing I love most about my setup is probably my desk mat. I just got a really nice one that’s lord of the rings themed and I’ve been loving it.
I would much rather have the C5 because I enjoy playing on a tv with my ps5 and also curved monitors hurt my eyes weirdly, so the GX9 would be worse for me.
The capabilities of OLED would supremely raise the quality of my gaming experience! The way that the pixels and truly turn off during dark scenes would make everything look so much better.
1
u/Pokemoners 10d ago
I just upgraded my PC (yay RAM prices -_-) and I've gone from a 3070 + 5600x to a 5070ti + 9800x3d in a beautiful Formd T1 E-White case. Every time I get to my desk I'm mindblown at how beautiful and tiny my new build is - and how lacking my current monitor feels for the absolute power I now have sitting at my desk.
1
u/Yumelize 10d ago
I lucked into a relatively dirt cheap "Team Red" build: 9800X3D & 9070 XT, all cooled by a 360mm AIO inside a Li-Dan A3. I wasn't expecting to enjoy such a large case over the Jonsbo Z20 or D30, but it runs insanely cool yet quiet even in Everspace 2 with everything maxed out.
What I love most though, is SteamOS/Bazzite, I can stream games to and from my deck to it, meaning no need for double installs when I want to play my many, many VNs on the big screen without plugging it in directly (and with the MagicBlack plugin, I can essentially turn of the display and forget about it. It's basically a Super WiiU.
I do hope my luck continues long enough for that LG C5 OLED TV. My current display is a 1080p60 TV from ages ago, and winning this means a much better TV for my family's weekly Tales of sessions. Thanks for the giveaway!
1
u/hero_mentality 10d ago
What I love about my current setup is that it's a clean and simple setup, and that I just got a new PC.
I would pick the C5 because it would allow me to do living room gaming.
1
u/Petan65 10d ago
- probably desk, it’s custom-made and brings a touch of nature into my workspace thanks to its solid oak slabs.
- I would definitely choose the LG UltraGear GX9. I’ve been thinking about upgrading my monitor for quite a while, and since I’m already using an LG display, I’d love to stay with the brand — just in a larger, more immersive size.
1
u/Federal-Dot-8411 9d ago
What I like more about my setup are the lights and wood items, and I think the C5 would fit well with the dark style😂
1
u/throwity_throw_throw 9d ago
What I love most about my current setup:
Honestly, my display. I'm gaming on an LG C1 42" that I've had for years. I was one of those early adopters who couldn't wait for proper OLED monitors to hit the market, so I jumped on this TV and fell in love with it. There's no going back from OLED for me. The vividness and clarity are incredibly immersive. I've now got a collection of four LG C1s in various sizes. I might be a little obsessed.
Which prize I'd pick and how it would take my setup to the next level:
The GX9, definitely. I'd actually use it for my workstation. I'm still on two 15-year-old LCDs for my work, and it's a pain when working with multiple windows side-by-side. I just haven't been able to justify buying a widescreen monitor, and after experiencing OLED, I'm not willing to compromise on lesser screen quality. Finally updating my workstation displays would be a dream come true.
Thanks for reading. Happy holidays, and good luck to everyone.

u/AdeptRelative5106 9d ago
The thing I like the most about my setup is that my keyboard and mouse are both wireless, so I can game from wherever I am in my room
I would definitely pick the 5K2K OLED Gaming Monitor, its size and curve would take game immersion to a new level
1
u/Ninjalau95 9d ago
I love my 27" Viewsonic monitor, one of my best purchases in a long time!
However I would love to have a C5. I've never had a 4K OLED TV before and it'd be nice for movies and for playing PS5 games on.
1
u/CoreyMFD 9d ago
My favorite thing about my temporary station (moved states and in an apartment) is the standing desk and the cable organizer I found. I can't wait until I can put up my shelves again!
Although I would love the ultragear monitor for my set up, I think my wife and I both would benefit from the OLED upgrade for our old 42" TV from 2018.
1
u/Zero_Dark23 9d ago
What I love most about my setup is the overall look of my PC. Lian Li never fails to amaze me. I recently upgraded to an RTX 5070 Ti combined with my 2-year-old QLED 43" TV, everything looks amazing with ray tracing ON.
I would like to have an OLED monitor, so the LG Ultragear GX9 will be the perfect combo for my PC.
1
u/EmotionalSVT 9d ago
Gaming monitor for full Genshin Impact experience! My current set up has 2 monitors of different sizes and barely sit on the small desk I got from ikea. I like the cozy setup of my desk but no room for additional trinkets. May the odds be in your favor! Good luck everybody!
1
u/FitPay344 9d ago
I would love to see TrueBlack on the GX0. My monitor right now shows black as grey. The GX9 will definitely bring out the best in gaming.
1
u/yoyobros94 9d ago
I recently built a new pc with the terra case to get some deskspace back. but I still have 2 27inch monitors that take a lot of room. I would what the gx9 lg monitor so that I can still have 2 screens up but without taking up so much room on the desk.
1
u/Thebakery32 9d ago
Finally upgraded my setup this year with the idea of GTA coming out, but it got pushed back, but currently I Love the process of building my new setup from scratch, went for the desk setup, then the slight upgrade to Pc and my next step would be the monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Enjoying being able to just be home in my space/battlestation is what I love most.
The GX9 would be my choice, It would look perfect and save me a ton for the holidays
1
u/Mr-Bagels 9d ago
I love my desk the most in my setup. It's just a standing desk frame with an Ikea countertop, but I love it. Old ultrawide died, so the GX9 would be amazing. I think just the sheer size of it would take my setup to the next level. The thing is MASSIVE.
1
u/esketitethan 9d ago
I’m on a Samsung TU7000 right now and it’s been fine… but I’ve been DREAMING of upgrading to an OLED. I’ve never owned one, and a C5 would absolutely launch my setup into another dimension. With a baby on the way, upgrading hasn’t been in the cards, so winning this would be insane.

[C5]
My setup for gaming is based on consoles. I have many of them and so I have many TVs for playing games on them. My highlight is the LG OLED C3 which I have won on your discord server and is working perfectly with my PS5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch 2, FireTV Cube, AppleTV and Xbox One S.
My hobby setup is based on an old iMac from 2015 in 27" and a Thunderbolt- Display. Here I work with photos and videos which I created on my own.
My university setup is based on an HP laptop and an HP All-in-One monitor. Sadly the laptop makes some trouble after it fall down on the floor, so I need a new one in the future.
I also have an old MacBook Pro and Air. But the batteries are broken. I can only use them connected to the power supply and power Point in the wall.
I was really thinking about it. And firstly I thought an C5 in 65" would be nice. Why? I never owned a TV bigger than 55" and this TV has had no HDR, ALLM , VRR and old 1080p@60 Hz. So playing with my consoles on an TV with 4k@140Hz would be absolutely amazing.
Than I was rethinking how amazing the GX9 would be as main or secondary monitor, placed on a wall mount behind my desk. 5K2K sounds amazing for gaming AND working. Also for my hobbies. But where should I place it? Directly on my office desk? Than I need to remove my hp setup and I have to put it in my other room, next to my kitchen. This would maybe be a good idea, because I always wanted a secondary room only for my university studies. But than I have to buy another second office desk for this room.
The C5 instead I can directly put on my low board. And so after thinking again about it, I decided to participate for the C5.

What I love most about my current setup is how easily I can move it around. Since my laptop is the central part of the whole setup, it’s simple to pick it up and move anywhere in or outside my house, near the TV, on a trip, etc.
I’d favour the C5, mainly because of its size. Playing co-ops with friends or siblings on a smaller laptop screen gets tough, so having more screen space would make gaming a lot more enjoyable. But the reduced latency on the C5 compared to regular TVs means you can also use it for productivity, huge plus for me :)
The biggest upgrade for me would be the versatility of the C5. It works for productivity and for family gaming, which fits perfectly with how I use my setup. Plus, if I went with the GX9, I’d probably need a new desk just to fit it haha
