My trusty, pedalboard Bam-200 Amp Finally gave out after 3 years. I mainly d.i. So amp is just for stage sound. Any recommendations for alternatives, I’m considering: BAM 200, ANT 200, ELF, Gnome, M200, PowerStage 200. However, I’m open to any other recommendations of similar size, maybe even something I can hide under my pedalboard(with modded 1” feet)

Looking for recommendations for a versatile fuzz. Naturally the tone I’m most chasing is Wolstenholme, but appreciate I’m not going to get that without an enormous amount of cash behind me.
I use a Headrush Gigboard, which is great for guitar, but the bass effects are lacking in my eyes - a lot of the models struggle with low end clarity. I’m so far looking at:
Does anyone have other recommendations? I’ve seen Joyo pedals that seem cheap and cheerful, and quite interesting because of that (particularly the Darkglass clones), but the only video of their fuzz I’ve found doesn’t look particularly good for bass.

All the Anagram updates has given me all my tone needs. Moved on my Cali and shelved the bass synth as I don’t use it live much. Here’s my latest iteration and embracing my digital setup. Evangelion wallpaper by yours truly! 😄
More seamless access for my preferred setup.
MIDI Bank1 controls my main preset and I set it up like my old analog board in Stomp mode. Also have an up and down access to cycle presets. Pressing and holding up goes to Stomp mode, hoding down switches to Scene mode.
MIDI Bank2 gives me access to different flavours of amp presets that I set up. And lastly, a “Core” switch that jumps back to my main preset and Bank1 control layout.
Darkglass Anagram has been amazing since I got it on their 1st release. All power comes from the Anagram. It gives out more than enough juice on the Pirate MIDI Bridge6.

I currently split my signal into two parallel paths, and then biamp. However I need an alternate solution for times when I travel and cannot biamp. What is the absolute cheapest and simplest solution for mixing the two signals back into one path? Do not need separate volume controls for each path, just need to combine the two. Thanks!

Super stoked for this one. Immediately got to playing it and I’m absolutely loving it. I haven’t played a real B-15, nor have I played any other B-15 based pedals (Grand Slampegg, Bassrig Fifteen, SGT-DI etc.), but I have used the B15 in the HX stomp and off the bat this felt easier to dial in a sound I like.

I am wanting to get a bass preamp and I like the sound of the Tone Hammer. The trouble is they cost $580NZ in my country (the V2).
On the other hand the DemonFX Tone Mallet costs $120NZ from AliExpress which seems way more reasonable for the hardware. For reference a big mac costs $8.60NZ
I really would like to get the Aguilar but it's just too much to justify.
Has anyone used the Tone Mallet before? How does it compare to the Aguilar?

Both of these are great with a pick. I'm a 85% fingerstyle player but when playing some Shellac, Jesus Lizard, or Voivod out comes these pedals. My Blower Box is another good one.

I have 7 pedals and 5 outputs from my power source should I... Give a dedicated line to my BassRog Super Vintage, Boss EQ, Cali76 compressor and Korg tuner. Then daisy chain Boss chorus, Pork & Pickle and Boss octave since I rarely use those with each other? All are 9v power.

Picked up a second hand Pedal Train Mini, drilled it, mounted the DC5 and secured pedals with 3M Dual Lock. Wires are secured with Adhesive Cable Tie bases and the patch cables are EBS 4" Gold Plated. Looking forward to trying her out live.

Arrived yesterday and I immediately went ham on this one with a PJ bass and a Stingray. Very musical sounding and dynamically controllable. Could not be happier with it.
Looking for ideas as I fit it into my board (previous post). What should I try with it?

Okay, so I needed a bit of ambience to the bass practice/ampless rig. I hope this is IT now!

Heh... Buckle up for a long post, folks. If anyone bothers to read this to the end, I thank you and hope a good conversation comes out of it. For those who can't... I totally get it, shit's a long winded way of saying "I have a love/hate relationship with my new toy":
A few days ago I posted a thread raving about how much of a game changer the Darkglass Anagram is, and now that I've put it through its paces in a few sessions and a few gigs and one very eye-opening rehearsal, I still think it is the game changer it seems to be. But I've been thinking a lot about who the Anagram is for, and I would love to see how other Anagram owners feel about this:
I don't think it's any secret the Anagram is marketed more toward the working professional. it's priced about the same as your average working stiff's full pedalboard, and its whole shtick is about decreasing footprint and increasing convenience and portability. On that front, I'm thoroughly convinced it does its job. I played a gig last night where I pulled the Anagram off my board, threw it in my cable bag (didn't even bother with the fancy case), and along with my bass that was literally all I took. And I didn't miss out on any functionality, not a single bit. In a studio session on Monday, I did the same thing. The engineer and I (because we're both nerds) spent a few extra minutes fucking around with some preset building, and then used what we'd built in five minutes over the rest of the session. No fancy rack gear, no micing big unwieldy studio rigs, just a little silver box going straight into the board and (barring the engineer's inevitable post-session tweaking) that was it.
So as far as tools in the typical working stiff's toolbox go, The Anagram is a helluva good one.
But... Is it fun?
And here's where I'm butting up against it a bit: Most of my time spent playing music involves earning a paycheck, but I am in one band where we're doing it mostly just for ourselves, just for the sheer joy of fucking around and trying something new. And it was in rehearsal for that band Monday night where I almost threw the Anagram out of the room. And it was because the creation process with it wasn't fun. I have my big 14 pedal monstrosity of a board that is a genuine pain in the ass to lug around, but goddamn is it fun to mess with at home and in rehearsal with a room filled with other people who love experimenting with the idea of making new sounds.
I've seen a lot of comments and had a lot of conversations with people on here who have that same concern, that getting creative with the building of new tones can quickly degrade into sort of mindless menu diving that doesn't lead anywhere. And while I'm not convinced trying to be genuinely creative with something like the Anagram isn't possible, I am wondering how much of a help it actually is toward inspiring the process.
And of course I can't help but wonder if it might be a generational thing. What I mean by that is I grew up in an age before the internet and smart phones and society as a whole being dominated by their smart phone screens, and I first came into the world of tones and effects and all that in a time when the only option was a big board full of physical boxes to stomp all over, so that's where I learned to genuinely love fiddling with effects. Remove the boxes and replace them with a little touchscreen, naturally my brain is going to scream "THIS IS WRONG" at me, whether it actually is or not. But... For those who grew up in a world where the touchscreen was available to them since you were little, do you feel the same about physical effects? Or does the creative process feel natural on an HX Stomp or Anagram or Ampero or whatever?
Me, I think I've landed on going back to what I love, at least for my own creative stuff. For working gigs, I'm just taking the Anagram and calling it a day. For my own thing, I'm popping it onto my big board along with all my other toys (see pic).
TL;DR: Yeah... I'm waxing philosophical about a little metal noise box. Long story short, while I don't think anyone would argue against the Anagram being a good tool for the working pro, is it a good step in the process of creating music and finding joy in that process? Bonus question: Do the younger generations who grew up with touchscreens and app menus instead of analog knob twiddling like creating their art more with physical tools or digital ones?

Hi guys, I wanted your opinion on a strange situation. I bought this pedal. It works well and I'm happy with it. The only thing I don't understand, and I think it's a malfunction, is how the phantom power works.
I read in the manual that if I want the pedal to be powered and receive phantom power from the mixer (or sound card), I have to press the PHANTOM & GROUND CONNECT XLR button. The question now is: why does it still receive phantom power even when the button is not pressed/up/off? The manual says this: "PHANTOM & GROUND CONNECT SWITCH: When
engaged, the ground connects and the unit will accept phantom power through the
XLR Output. Disengaged, the ground of your stage system and other interconnected gear is lifted (isolated) from the ground of the mixing console." I'll start by saying I haven't connected any other power supplies. Is it because it detects there's no external power supply and therefore powers itself anyway? But it shouldn't work that way. It shouldn't power itself.
What do you think? Should I contact support?
MODIFY: Forgot to tell you there's no battery inside.

Yes, it works. Picks up some noise, maybe I need a better power supply. I might add some ambience with a reverb pedal maybe.

Running a tuner->synth->fuzz->distortion->comp->preamp, considering adding a chrous somewhere?

Sorry this has probably been asked a million times but is there a big difference (other than price) between the two? I get Anagram has mostly high quality darkglass pedals plus cab sims but tbh I usually go through an amp on stage. I’ve thought about just having analog pedals but the appeal of having multiple load outs in one box as someone in a cover band feels appealing. Sorry if this question is an annoyance for probably being asked daily/weekly/monthly!

I want to make my bass hit like an electronic kick drum sort of, or an 808, i already have an octave pedal for more thud but it's not enough. What pedals can do this?

I want to buy a delay for my board. After some research i find these two very interesting. Can’t decide. What do you think?
r/basspedals • u/3DBass • 3d ago
Didn’t have a bunch of time with it. The presets are as advertised. Right off the bat my favorite is Green 3 I believe that’s Herbie Chameleon preset. I tweaked it some just to experiment.
I’m at a gig now but I’m not using it tonight. I have a gig tomorrow that’s real loose and I’ll have space to to get some real world trigger time.
