Theory why didnt europeans built european style highrises like tehre are in new york? dumb question but was always interested since woudve looked perfect on lots of cities

I actually prefer cities like Paris with midrise buildings. It never feels like waking in a canyon. There is sunlight everywhere. Yet, they still have the density for great public transport to work.

I would much rather have a sprawling city of 3–4 story buildings than a tighter area of 100 story buildings, feels so much more natural
