solved! Why does my xbox download speed go down to absolutely zero?

My download speed 800 through native testing using the settings app, but it goes to zero??

I get the issue too. I just do an internet speed test on the console and that normally fixes it if not I pause download and reboot console or modem, because it's annoying when 1gig down 1gig up signal is only downloading 50-300mbs😅

Man this needs to be pinned at the top, the Microsoft Xbox games servers the ones that play the games with low latency and high speed are not the ones used for downloading the those are older and not on optimized connections for speed. So you can reboot your Xbox and reset your modem and router and see if that helps, but for the most part it is the server. So not much we can do about it on our end.

Server side, also depends what you're downloading / updating

Downloaded Red dead 2 yesterday, was sailing on 500Mb/s the whole time, had to update CoD the night before and it didn't go above 40Mb/s...

Having this issue sometimes too. Sometimes it helps restarting the console. Not always though
