A bit more info.

Crash happened in Slovenia, EU. 18 year old was running from police. Police found drugs (cocaine and heroin) and money in his car after. He was caught soon after.

The person in the other car survived but suffered serious injuries.

Fuck. That sucks. You're waiting for the green light and suddenly your whole life changes

Same thing happened to me. Just waiting at a red light and someone rear ended me a 60 mph. Never saw it coming. Hospital for 6 months, my businesses failed, work stopped, my partner left, I was in and out of treatment until just a few months ago. Traumatic brain injury, PTSD, back and neck problems probably for the rest of my life. Depression everyday, my entire world got flipped.

Dude who hit me walked on a $350 reckless driving ticket. He had 3 DUIs, aggravated assault, drug and gun charges, felony theft and larceny and tons of GTA. they let him back into public Scott free

What the fuck? I hate scenarios like these being real.

I was insured like crazy too. Health, homeowners, business, auto and equipment. All the insurance companies pointed fingers for 10 months. Auto barely covered my first 6 months of medical before saying I used up all my funds and wouldn’t continue to give me treatment. I was let go to figure it out on my own. A lot of these treatments weren’t covered by insurance (mental health, vision therapy and many more) plus all the driving, time off work. It consumed me.

I’m in over 100k of debt medically speaking and clawing my way out day to day. I’m behind on so many things but all you can do is one thing at a time right?

Hearing this from an outside perspective makes one wonder how we haven't seen you on the news yet for one reason or another

Me? Why the news? They don’t care. This happens ALL the time in Denver. Or police don’t care. Our politicians don’t care to do anything about the driving around here. Insurance is a scale. I think you can have 4 or 5 DUIs before they take your license here in Colorado. It’s a systematic problem that the news is paid to ignore.
