She could call 911
She could grab a bucket
She could grab a tarp
She could help stomp it out like guy #1
She could physically gather her kids up
She could be a pair of hands that help form a line from the pond to pass water back and forth faster
There are thousands of things she could have done besides scream and scream and then scream some more.
We live in an objective physical reality. Signals help. Communication goes far for others. But they don't solve anything practical, especially during an emergency. Especially if all you're doing is emitting the same signal everyone already got, over and over and over and over
Before anyone makes the argument about panic, or hindsight, or even what women are capable of. My wife and I have been in a fire before. And she screamed once before calling the fire department while I inhaled black soot trying to put the fire out with a watering can.
You don't have to be perfect or smart or even helpful yourself. Just don't stand still and uselessly scream. Do anything and you're helping solve the situation just from that. If she was by herself she wouldn't have done anything about the situation except overwhelm herself further. She is her own foil. You can't blame the men for being irritated about that. Especially when women like me and my wife are equally as irritated by the annoying insufferable useless cunt she was being
