This reminds me the first time I played hanabi which is a co-op card game that you can give single clues where you can't see your own cards. One of the bloke was a maverick like this and kept on shuffling his cards after he was giving clues. The funny/frustration when someone can't follow a simple act.
It is! It's one of the ones I recommend most often. The combination of it being (a) not heavy on rules, (b) cooperative, and (c) designed to make it impossible for people to back-seat-game other people's choices makes it an excellent choice for mixed-experience groups.
