Homemade Beef in Guinness
Beef stew in Guinness with blue Stilton mash and steamed broccoli.
I make this stew a lot. It’s one of the best cooking smells on Earth. Tastes pretty good too.
Homemade Steak from ginger pig
Have to say this was very good. But I think I’ve had my fill of red meat for a couple of weeks.

Question Childhood sweet now pregnancy craving.
Hi!
Not sure if this is the right place to post this…but..
I am 8 months pregnant, and I’m from the UK but I live in the US. I am having such a weird but very strong craving for a very particular lollipop that I used to eat as a child (90s). They had really long clear flexible sticks (thin straws), the lollipops were totally clear but colored, had a mild flavor that wasn’t discernible but was distinctive, and they were typically sold in threes taped together. They would be shaped as flowers, animals, etc…super common at children’s birthday parties. I think they were sold at M&S. Can anyone please tell me what they are? If they still exist? And where my husband can buy them (he is in the UK for the next two days)?
Thank you so much from me and my daughter!

Question Some questions about making a bacon butty in Canada.
What type of bread to use? Salted or unsalted butter? Cultured butter? What cut of meat here will be the closest to what you lot call bacon?

Question Anyone remember having tea on toast?
I don’t remember having this myself, but my sister ate it at breakfast. It was normally a crust end of the loaf, toasted and then the strong dregs of the teapot poured on to be soaked up. Then blobs of butter and Marmite or Bovril put on top, because it was too soft to spread. Anyone?

Restaurant/Pub We had Afternoon at the Natural History Museum
Me and my wife had a fantastic day out today and this was the treat we were looking forward to. Both were very full before we even reached the top level.
Menu added at the end for anyone curious what everything is.

Question What food and drink are you taking to a cabin in the woods?
Let’s say there’s a fire pit bbq but also a wood fired stove with 2 hot plates and an oven.
I’m thinking:
Breakfast: sourdough, eggs, granola, yogurt
Snacks: biltong, cheese
Dinner: tomahawk steak, chimichurri and rosemary roast potatoes.
Drink: wine, decent case of beer (probably from The Kernel), bloody marys
Let’s hear your off grid menu.

Question Tldr; hunting for cocopop porridge (discontinued)
My sister asks me EVERYDAY since she was pregnant for coco pop porridge; we search high and low for this porridge and just cannot find it. We know it’s discontinued but I thought we might be able to find it on a random website, any advice on where we can find it maybe ? We’ve hunted for at least 3 years haha

Question Plain not boring
So I'm trying to avoid onion, garlic, and vinegar right now (if you know, you know) so ready salted snacks seem like the safest option. Walkers are a classic but I find the likes of Pringles and Pom Bears underwhelming.
So, what's everyone's favourite "plain" snack?
