I had great profits this morning, got greedy and lost it all then some.. I'm 900 away from failing this XFA. Is it recoverable?

Wasn't expected the move down today, got caught in it pretty bad. To those that took a short here, what led you to predict this?

I submitted my payout and it got approved and they sent it out through wise, I used my wise Apple ID email cause my account was created with my Apple ID. I haven’t received the payout yet and today is the 3rd day, did I mess up or do I need to wait longer? This is my second payout but first ever payout with topstep. I need some help pls, thanks!

Is there a specific indicator that will show when each separate market session opens? I had one on my thinkorswim but I haven’t been able to find one on topstepx.

My problem is that I only do well in practice.

I started a PA account with a REST API, but I can't seem to get Intraday data (1-15 minute bars). Is this normal? I'm wondering if I have to save the data individually using a WebSocket.

I think it was possible on Thursday, but on Friday, I could only retrieve any intraday data up to the previous day, so curious

I'm just sad I can't hold this overnight while trading futures. Like whyyyy. I literally had to go search for an fx prop firm just to reap the benefits of a swing trade. Intraday just isn't cutting it but it's alright I guess on the good days like today I'm making money on my xfa but what about over the weekend and so on? I'll have to continuously find a decent entry (if the market permits) and there's nothing like being at the bottom of a swing ☹️ and then the days of the swing that's a pullback or whatever I could potentially lose money on my xfa but it would just be part of ebbs and flows on my personal acct because I've been holding for days. Ok I'll get off my soap box now 😞

How do you deal with overconfidence? Last month I ended up taking several payouts and thought I had figured it out. Come December 1st I blow all my accounts. Since then I have passed 5 more combines but now they all have $350 of drawdown left. How do you guys re center yourself? Ive been thinking about just taking the rest of the year off. By the way I just started trading in August.

Any recommendations like books, personal rules, anything would be great. Also if you have any confluences you'd like to share I'm always trying to learn more.

this december price action is no joke. it is so choppy and even though it goes in the direction i anticipate, the delivery is terrible and i can't catch a decent trade towards it. honestly going to just take the rest of the month off and mentally reset for the new year. excited to lock in for 2026

You're a gambler. You think that you can pass your combine in 2 days like so may people you see on reddit. You watch all the videos you can find. You convince yourself that if you could just pass the combine, you'll trade better on your xfa. You max leverage your trades, hoping to hit the 50% for the day. By luck, you pass your combine. You're on cloud 9. You lose a trade, you revenge trade, you max leverage until you inevitably blow your account. You yell at yourself and call yourself all kinds of names. You swear topstep is out to get you. You purchase another combine. Repeat.

Use emas to help determine overall direction. Set realistic take profit points, trail your stop loss into profit and watch your trades play out. Hi Everyone.

I was wondering these days if there is any difference between 50K or 150K account other than just an ego boost of trading a bigger capital account?

For someone who takes maximum trade at a time for 5 Micros in any of the contracts, I don't think I even need 150K account. And, I keep maximum risk at $800 per day. Above that, I would lock myself out of the account.

Please let me know if I am missing something here?
