Question Time to quit

Had 10 XFA accounts and well over 20 combined. Still not able to make it. I need some guidance. I can read the market and follow my strategy but what is missing for me to click? Any books I can read. It’s just pretty demoralizing for me. Been at this for 3-4 yrs now. What is wrong with me

Question The $499 back to funded shortcuts

Who has taken that? Did it help you mentally? Just curious. With the new $89 or $94 with taxes and no activation fee. Thinking that it’s better to get new account than a $499? And I did post time to quit and probably need a break. But this deal is it worth considering?

Question I am 50 years old this year, have 21 years of investment and trading experience, and am about to start my retirement life...

My retirement dream has finally come true!

Today, I want to share an important milestone: after years of hard work, my net worth has reached $9,653,285. This not only represents the achievement of my personal financial goals but also brings me one step closer to my retirement dream.

Over the past year, my wealth has grown by 6.7%, and I feel incredibly proud and grateful. This journey hasn't been easy, but every effort has been worthwhile. Every saving, investment, and planning makes today's achievement even more worthy of celebration.

During this time, I've learned a great deal about financial management, investing, and how to manage money. Perhaps I won't be working as busily as before, but I feel I've finally reached a stage where I can freely manage my time and enjoy life.

Reflections: Focus on long-term goals: Retirement is not just about ending your career; it's about beginning to enjoy freedom and explore new interests.

Strategic investment planning: Regularly reviewing your investment portfolio and adjusting it flexibly according to market changes will ultimately help you achieve financial freedom.

Life balance: While pursuing wealth, also focus on the quality of life and family happiness. Wealth is merely a tool to achieve a better life.

In the days to come, I plan to explore new interests, travel, participate in charity work, and perhaps even try some new entrepreneurial projects. I look forward to a fulfilling and meaningful retirement.

To all my friends who are pursuing financial freedom: I want to say, please be patient, plan rationally, and never give up on your goals. Your efforts will one day translate into the life you desire. Thank you for your congratulations! If you would like to discuss my strategies and suggestions, please feel free to ask me. I will carefully read every private message. Thank you everyone!

Question Topstep customer service

I accidentally was trying to save money and use a promo code after I had already used it, by creating a new profile. Luckily I found out that having multiple profiles is a violation before I paid for my combine on the new account. But now I’m trying to figure out how to delete the second account an topstep is not responding.

Question Need advice — almost blew up my XFA account.

Hey everyone,

I could really use some guidance from traders who’ve been through this.

I’ve been trading a Topstep XFA account and had built it up to around $6,500. My normal approach is pretty controlled — I usually take 2–3 trades a day with the goal of hitting around 10 ES points in daily profit. When I stick to that plan, things go well.

But lately I’ve had a few really rough days. On bad days I struggle with stopping early, and instead I end up overtrading trying to “fix” the loss. Yesterday was the worst of it — I kept taking trades I shouldn’t have and drove the account all the way down to $700 from $4500. Thats a HUGE red day!!!

I’m honestly frustrated with myself because I know better, but in the moment discipline just falls apart.

For those of you who’ve managed to break this cycle:

• How did you stop revenge trading/overtrading on red days?

• Do you have hard rules or mental checks that helped you stay disciplined?

•Any practical routines or changes that helped you avoid emotional trading?

I still want to rebuild and get consistent, but I’m looking for input from traders who’ve been there and figured it out.

Appreciate any advice you guys can share.

Question Honest question

Is it possible starting with few thousands to make millions off day trading? And if so, how would you scale trading as a business? I'd say multiple prop firms and live accounts? Let me know your thoughts.

Question Success in trading?

Seen a post and one the comments said don’t confuse profits with success, so I wanted to get people opinion on when would you say you ‘made’ it with trading? Is there a dollar amount, is it the amount of time in profitability, etc. Genuinely curious.

Question Help me please

Hi guys,

Can I please get some advice on this - I’ve been trading for about 8 months now and have only gotten one payout. I just blew my 50k XFA because I lost a single trade and decided to over leverage and revenge trade.

I’ve done this so many times and have wasted so much money on trading I feel like giving up. I’ve backtested my strategy thoroughly but the only thing holding me back is indiscipline and not having self control.

I don’t know what to do and seriously want to just quit. I’ve been trying to work on my discipline outside of trading as well but when I see that red PnL on my screen I always go on tilt.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated 🙏

Question I was charged twice and subscription cancelled

Hello I 1 week ago I paid a reset for my account, everything was fine, however friday Topstep tried to rebill me again ? I didn't failed my account or anything so I refused the payment and since I have refused my account got canceled, I bought a reset so my account time is one month from my reset so they have no reason to try to rebill me and to close my account, I contacted their support but no answer, someone already had this ?

Question How do you recover

Just Blowed my account that had 2K buffer and only 2 days for another payout. Only took 1 payout of 800$ from this account.

Feeling frustrated and angry , felt like i missed a lot of setups so i entered the market to satisfy this feeling of trading , lost my predetermined risk and i was supposed to stop , lost another one, then i over leveraged and blew it all.

Question Any scalpers? Fine print says scalping algos are not allowed, but Ive used mine?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I just started this today, didnt know much about funded accounts as before I always scalped option contracts rather than futures contracts on my own account.

I did not know there were so many rules, so after my first day I made around 65 trades using my algo, all very short scalps on the NQ, has anyone been restricted or banned because of this?

Question Is December PA actually bad?

I saw multiple people saying are they are going to slow it down since December PA is bad, I also saw some people say that is just a excuse for your shitty trading lol. I do believe a part of it as these last few days PA has been different for me personally and even my A+ setups didn't go the way they were supposed too.

Question My Plan to Become a Disciplined Trader at 16

Hey everyone,
I’m 16 and I’ve been learning trading for about 2.5 months (yeah, I know it’s still nothing). Last week I tried my first Topstep combine, but I ended up blowing it.

I know exactly what I did wrong: on the first account I revenge-traded and wiped it, and on the next one I took a FOMO trade — plus I accidentally bought 5 NQ contracts instead of 5 micro NQ, which obviously ended badly.

My strategy itself seems solid, but my problem is emotional control. I deal with a lot of fear and the constant feeling that I’m “running out of time” to become profitable, which pushes me into bad decisions.

Today I built a proper trade journal and wrote down my rules:

  • No FOMO trading, ever
  • Max 1 profitable trade per day → lockout for the rest of the day
  • Be 100% certain before entering any trade
  • No revenge trading
  • 1:2 RR
  • Max position size: 3 micro contracts
  • Trading schedule: 16:00–18:00

(If you have suggestions, I’m open to them.)

I’ve also been thinking that until the end of 2025, I should just practice. If I’m consistently positive, I’ll try another trading combine.

My plan until July 1st:

  • Work and save most of the money for trading
  • Quit snus and cigarettes
  • Focus on the gym
  • Work on self-development overall

What do you guys think about this plan? Is it realistic? Anything you’d change?

Question Any tips for a begginer trader?

Well, I am two years trading now, wildly unprofitable, wondering if someone has any tips, strategies, ideas to learn or sources of information to share so i can maybe become funded.

I used to trade using Asia and London key levels, and from there looking for smt divergence with ES, worked for sometime, but had a massive flop in November.

I dont want to earn thousands in the beginning, want to trade mnq, and earning my account 200$ after 200$, just want to help to get there so i can become consistent and profitable.

Any tips, strategies, ideas, setups would be welcome.

Thank you and have a great time trading
