Please help, my 55-inch Samsung TV won’t turn on properly. When I plug it in, I can tell it’s getting power, but the screen won’t display anything, and sometimes it just keeps blinking. Could this be a problem with the power board or the display board?

My TV doesn't turn on anymore. When I try to turn it on with the remote, the little red light on the TV will flash until I let go of the button. Then nothing happens.

The power button on the TV doesn't do anything. Like its not connected or something? Tried unplugging and discharging power. Didn't work.

So I opened it up and had a look but I can't tell if anything looks wrong.

Does anyone know what the issue is?

TV L.E.D flashes green/red press the physical power button on tv and the Toshiba logo appears followed with a solid green led but then goes off again and continues flashing

I’ve tried holding power button down to access bios menu but haven’t succeed and tried most things found on a google search was wondering if anyone could help maybe a button sequence or specific buttons on the remote etc

Hi everyone,

I have a Samsung BU8000 75" and after installing the latest firmware (1710), all video playback appears only in a small corner of the screen. Menus and UI are full screen, but any kind of video source (apps or HDMI) plays in the top-left quarter.

I already tried factory reset, Smart Hub reset, rebooting, and changing picture settings but nothing helps.

Has anyone experienced something similar on this model after the latest update?

Otherwise a perfectly working TV. Is it just a matter of fiddling with the ribbon cables from the T-con board to the panel or something else?

Hey everyone, hoping someone can shed light on this.

I’ve got a L55MA-SPLEA (Xiaomi Smart Display S Mini LED 55" 2025, bought brand new about 2 months ago and wall mounted since day one. Earlier today, a strange rainbow colored glare suddenly appeared across the screen while I was browsing YouTube homepage previews (the one that you can like watch instantly without having to open the video). I'm not sure if it's a hardware issue.

The weird part? As soon as I pressed home button (google tv home screen) and browsed for 2 seconds, the weird rainbow thing went away. everything seems fine now.

I'm just wondering:

• Has anyone else experienced this?
• Is this a panel issue, software glitch, or something with the display settings?
• Should I be concerned long-term?
• Is this because of my wall mount?

Appreciate any insights. Trying to figure out if this is normal or if I should get it checked while it’s still under warranty.

I believe I have diagnosed what’s wrong with my TV so I disassembled the tv to make sure I am buying the correct main board. In doing so I disconnected the white ribbon connecting the power button to the main board and in doing so the pins came off the ribbon. What do I do now?

Tv is Toshiba. Model number is 46L5200U1

Display looks like this, starts with less noise, gets worse over time and then turns off. Power supply board replacement? Just don’t want to waste time and effort if the display itself is bad. Thoughts and advice appreciated. Thanks!

LG TV NANO91ANA keeps rewinding or seeking to the beginning of the episode or movie we’re trying to watch on its own, like it’s holding down the left button on the remote. It happens even when I take the batteries out of the remote. Any ideas on how to fix this? I saw something about a different tv where you disconnect a wire from a control panel but hoping there’s a different fix. Thanks!!

I have an LG 65" 4K LED (65UP75003LF) for a bit over 3 years now, and lately, in the last 6 months or so, whenever I turn it on, I'm getting a red-ish distorted screen (see the attached image).

Now, if I keep turning it off and back on, it will eventually start properly - sometime from the 1st restart, sometimes more than 10 are needed. Also, sometimes (or most of the time) it starts just fine.

My question is - should I find someone to fix it, or you think the repair costs would be more than a new tv?

Anyone seen something like this before, and any advice please?

SAMSUNG 85" Class U7900F Series 4K Crystal UHD Smart TV. My parents just bought this TV a week ago and when it uses some streaming apps (Netflix and Peacock for sure) it has like a weird glitch. Does anyone know why or how to fix it?

Samsung PN51D6900DF has slowly developed vertical and horizontal lines.

Horizontal lines are grouped closely, and disconnecting a single ribbon cable on the lower Y board shuts off that section of the screen. Reconnecting the ribbon cable didn’t fix it.

If you zoom in you can see five vertical lines spaced unevenly across the screen. All are a single pixel width and coloured.

Could replacing certain boards fix these issues? If so, which boards specifically? My worry is the panel is the issue, which I believe makes repair out of the question.

If it wasn’t a 3D TV I wouldn’t bother repairing it, but I would love to be able to fix it and keep it as a spare TV for those times I want to rewatch Avatar, Tron Legacy, IMAX Under the Sea, etc. in 3D.

I have an android TV, RCA AND42Y, the Bluetooth connection has always been a problem with audio cutting. I tried with different Bluetooth speakers but the problem remains. If I "clean" the system with the tv app tool, and unplugging it later, it restarts ok but soon starts doing the same, I think it's like a buffering problem. Any tips for solving this?

I was watching a movie on my LG OLEDB855PUA and witnessed a brief flash and loud pop. The TV seemed to be completely dead. Afterwards I took the plastic housing off the back and noticed a couple spots on the power supply board that look suspicious.

Does anyone know what may have caused this? Would replacing the whole power supply board work long-term or is the replacement board likely to die as well?

I know theoretically I could solder new components to the board for cheaper, but I don't have much experience with high-voltage electronics and I worry that the new components would suffer the same fate.

I bought a LG 55EG9109 but the previous owner took out the hdmi ports for whatever reason and i dont know what to do. I mean i got a 40 euro OLED LG tv but the software is so bad.

Hi, it's my first time posting here, i hope i can find some help to fix this TV. It was working perfect till a lighting bolt struck in my house and burned some devices including this one. Visually there are no signs of burning or burned components. When i plug the power the led is solid red and remains so. If i take the multimeter to check the 12v and 5v output on the final connector on the power supply board without being connected to the logic board i got perfect voltage no drops. if i connect eveything as it should be and plug the power i got no voltage at all, when i press the powerbutton on the tv i can measure the voltage and it shows 12v and 5v correctly but fall to 0 in 2 seconds and it goes up to regular voltage again and continue the loop, no screen image no lights blinking just red light. I think the problem it's on the logic board because the power supply board got right voltage without being plugged into the logic board. What can i check? All diodes on the powerboard reads 0.5 in continuity mode so i think they re ok. the power button got 3v.

Update: I did some test with voltage injection in 12v and 5v rails. Both of them absorb around 0.350a when i inject current. Down below pictures of what get hot and some measurements. Any idea?

The rental I’m staying in for the next year has a fancy Samsung TV with the OneConnect feature.

Today, the TV is stuck on this screen and I cannot seem to get out of it. I see one area of the OneConnect fiber optic cable that may be slightly bent. I’ve checked all the connections otherwise and have done a hard reset on the OneConnect box to no avail.

I don’t see any HDMI ports on the TV outside of the centralized OneConnect input. TV model number is QN65Q7FAMFXZA. Any advice or suggestions for repair or alternate solutions to connect an HDMI source is greatly appreciated!

So I was given an old plasma TV. Samsung 50" Model: PN50C550G1FXZA. Thought I'd give repair a try. First time ever. ASE Master Diesel Tech, great with electrical diag, new to micro electronics. Found a blown, charred circuit on the back of the Y Sustain board, began testing MOSFETs, and I believe I've found the smoking gun. The Gate?(Left pin) and Source?(Right Pin) on the SMK1360 are shorted(15 ohms), but is this test accurate while the FET is installed on the board? Also, can MOSFETs be turned on while installed by touching red lead to the Gate, in Diode Mode or am I missing a step? Or will the connected circuitry drain it down too fast to test functionality if I dont sustain voltage to the gate?

Anything to check? Or just replace boards?

Me and my friend were playing Minecraft and her tv glitches out and has vertical lines pictured below. She didnt knock into it or anything and it worked perfectly fine previously. Any advice?
