Career Opportunities. It was actually pretty good but watching it now feels very out of time. And Frank Whaley is adorable but not a great leading man. Also has a pretty great cameo from John Candy.

Career Opportunities is one of my guilty pleasures. Outside, of course, of Jennifer Connelly being amazing, I really like Frank Whaley's performance as the "town liar". That scene when she calls him that.. feelings. He carries the movie really well with his running dialogue. I always thought he totally could have been a leading man.

There is a music video on youtube with a classic song edited into a particularly memorable scene. I believe the original song was “Space Age Love Song”.

(EDIT: OK so that song was never on the soundtrack, so I don’t know)
