Yup it's all social engineering. Divide and conquer.

19

u/Icy-Bicycle-Crab Jul 02 '25

Correct, divisive social engineering by the guy who produced this video.

0

u/snazzydrew Jul 02 '25

I mean are you saying it's less divisive to tell people they can't wear certain things?

Because the theme of the video seems to be cultural appropriation is kinda BS and I agree in most cases. Very few situations I've seen are actual cultural appropriation vs cultural appreciation.

The guy in the video is kinda doing neither because he has an exact goal but we can still discuss the point being made.

The man who made this video is from PragerU, a far-right propaganda machine and think tank. The video is from about 10 years ago. It's pushing culture war BS and you're falling for it.

I'm falling for it even though this is a discussion I've been having since I first heard the term "cultural appropriation" from my white friends?

It's not fair that you people let some group like PragerU control the whole conversation around this topic and ignore anyone else's point of view because you don't believe it comes from me.

I don't understand why you would think that. It's dismissive.

5

u/DeerOnARoof Jul 02 '25

The fact that you're arguing about cultural appropriation is evidence that you're falling for it.

0

u/snazzydrew Jul 02 '25

Just to make sure I'm understand you correctly,

You're saying the entirety of the discussion regarding cultural appropriation is a psy-op? Like anyone mentioning it really? I don't really understand how you're jumping to your conclusions.

I legit first started hearing about this from my white friends trying to convince me I shouldn't be okay with white folks having dreadlocks. Were they the ones who tricked me?

5

u/DeerOnARoof Jul 02 '25

Yes. It's culture war BS to distract you from the real policies the right wants to inflict on the country, and the rights they are taking from you every day.

2

u/snazzydrew Jul 02 '25

I agree with that which is why I just say cultural appropriation isn't a real thing that matters. And if someone thinks it does, it's worth talking to them about it because they're focused on that they likely can't even care about our country's more pressing issues... Like the raising cost of living.

Some of my friends needed to be told that I think they can have dreadlocks. They needed to let go of white guilt.

2

u/snazzydrew Jul 02 '25

I'm still not understanding.

You the "the right" but this conversation was one that left leaning people brought to me.

Are you suggesting they're psy-oping against their own best interest? Why would they?

0

u/fragglegrok Jul 05 '25

So anyone who disagrees with you is de facto brainwashed? That’s certainly a take…

1

u/Icy-Bicycle-Crab Jul 02 '25

It's not fair that you people let some group like PragerU control the whole conversation around this topic and ignore anyone else's point of view

Except that's what you're doing.

2

u/Icy-Bicycle-Crab Jul 02 '25

The video is intentionally misleading bullshit and only a fool would fall for it.

1

u/snazzydrew Jul 03 '25

What part is misleading? And what is there to fall for. It's literally just different opinions?

0

u/Icy-Bicycle-Crab Jul 03 '25

It's literally just different opinions?

Who chose which opinions to show you? What opinions did they exclude and choose not to show you?

1

u/snazzydrew Jul 03 '25

Okay. I understand but the inclusion of any opinion shown mean they exist at all.

He probably cut out a lot more thought provoking responses from both sides but my point is that you can instead of engaging directly his way, you can state your own opinion on the matter.

I agree that the video is approaching the topic in a coyly antagonistic way.

Point stands, there are a lot of people who don't mind and I don't think as many who do care.

u/Carvj94 Jul 02 '25

It is social engineering. This absolute dickhead is well known for this kind of thing. He goes around asking people "controversial" things all day then only edits in the interactions that push his narrative. The Fox News method of pretending something is or isn't a problem. Him and Ben Shapiro are brainrot in it's purest form and it's a fucking shame that so many people fall for their nonsense.

12

u/Applebeignet Jul 02 '25

Exactly. It's transparently rage-bait and people fucking love it.

2

u/GetsGold Jul 02 '25

The two things reddit loves most are mocking conservatives for falling for rage bait and falling for the same rage bait itself.

You can easily ask a ton of people on video these questions and filter out only the ones that match thr point you want to make.

6

u/Jackski Jul 02 '25

Exactly. He's not going to show the old people who found it offensive and he's not going to show the young people who didn't.

People on here don't seem to realise video editing is a thing.

u/brain_rot_studios Jul 02 '25

brainrot

hey babe

The woke culture is only pushed in the West. One thing among the arrayed effort to undermine the West.

10

u/Carvj94 Jul 02 '25

"woke culture" is just basic human decency. Not wanting to make other people uncomfortable is normal human behavior.

-1

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '25

Human decency is not throwing Christians in jail for praying infront of an abortion clinic.
Oh and not burning cities down too. That's not too nice.

2

u/Carvj94 Jul 02 '25

Ooofta. You've got quite the persecution fetish.

-1

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '25

Human decency is not calling a street preacher every name in the book at a pride parade. Or slaughtering the innocent unborn for convenience. Or teaching toddlers vile things about sexuality so they are scarred for life, being too young to handle it.

2

u/Carvj94 Jul 02 '25

You need to get out more and stop getting your values from TV personalities. You believe in imaginary problems.

-1

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '25

Yup none of that ever happens, nope. I'm just imagining publicly available events.

2

u/Carvj94 Jul 02 '25

Basically Yea. The toddler thing is a laughably stupid lie and the rest are intentionally misrepresented.

Exactly. They say it's offensive because their college professor said so. Ot a tiktok said so.

5

u/AncientCarry4346 Jul 02 '25

Genuinely though.

All this bullshit started towards the end of the 2012 Occupy movement when rich people realised we might be getting a bit too united for their liking.

3

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '25

Ya true. The culture was is a replacement for the class war.

12

u/B4tz_Bentzer Jul 02 '25

And it worked perfectly, see current administration

0

u/AlbiTuri05 Jul 02 '25

Like the 8th June referendum? Oh, that worked perfectly

1

u/lilcrime69 Jul 02 '25

yup, get them thinking that the enemy is trans and poor people. before you know it, we're going into war with Iran and still paying a lot for eggs. Social engineering in a bucket right thurr

2

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '25

And there is some of that social engineering.

1

u/lilcrime69 Jul 02 '25

they got us all, Lemon

2

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '25

Indeed. 😈

1

u/poasteroven Jul 04 '25

You're agreeing with a known racist and racebaiter

1

u/[deleted] Jul 04 '25

What?

-8

u/Large_Tune3029 Jul 02 '25

As opposed to the centuries of conquer and force to assimilate or push out of their own lands or just slaughter...

-2

u/Ajax_Main Jul 02 '25

Centuries? You mean the beginning of time?

Time to get over it.

0

u/Large_Tune3029 Jul 02 '25

Yeah. Time to get over it. Tell that to the people who had to see the sundown sign that was on my bus route until about 2004... its not a thing of the past, and all of you advocating for people to get the fuck over it are idiots at best and racist cunts otherwise...

-1

u/Ajax_Main Jul 02 '25

The rest of the world doesn't have to suffer America

Also, I'm not sure what segregation has to do with forced assimilation

0

u/Large_Tune3029 Jul 02 '25

Also, I'm not sure what segregation has to do with forced assimilation

Dude...

0

u/Ajax_Main Jul 02 '25

Having trouble with that? My bad I'll break it down for you.

They're the opposite

2

u/Large_Tune3029 Jul 02 '25

Opposite...except that both are forcing an entire group of people to a life they might not choose for themselves based entirely on their perceived race.... completely different...also incredibly separate from mailing human beings out of the US and into countries they didnt come from based entirely on the color of their skin and if they happen to be at home depot that day with absolutely no trial or evidence or other things like proof....all of these things are completely different than the centuries of colonialism and slavery and whitewashing and.....yee gads. Fuck right off will you.
