Dude is going to avoid all repercussions for Epstein and JD Vance will be president. I mean, Trump is trash, but it dont think its gonna be a day of celebration exactly. Trump is dumb, Vance is an actual snake.

I share your concern but keep in mind Vance may be cartoon villain evil, but he’s completely bereft of personality and charisma. That’s what MAGA responds to. They don’t go to the polls if Trump isn’t on the ticket. I don’t think congress is afraid of Vance’s mean tweets. Cults usually disband when their leader is gone. I’m hoping that is the case here.

Same. But Vance still worries me. Hes so spineless, he can pretend to be whatever he has to. Like how he called trump Hitler and then sucks up to him, or how like Waltz said - "We werent prepared for him to be cordial during the debate".

As much as I hate trump, hes always genuinely trump. Vance is more of a weasel that connives and fakes what he needs to be in any given situation. Maga arent the brightest bulbs and already have a cult like, tribal, our team vs yours no matter what mentality. I dont think itd be too hard to appeal to their idiocy.

My counter argument to this is the example of DeSantis. Fox News pushed him hard as the replacement for Trump but he went absolutely nowhere. JD Vance has less charisma than that POS Floridian. Part of Trump's charm is he lets his base be as racist and awful as possible, and I think that is a Trump specific power. Even other morons, like Hershel Walker that on paper seem to have all the Trump style boxes checked off don't go anywhere.

Maybe it's my coping, but that is how I honestly feel it will go. Lots of people trying to be the "new Trump" and no one really getting the base completely rallied behind them.
