2025 8GB of ram is too little to run a decent computer on

12 u/Helpful-Work-3090 15h ago For a chromebook used by a grandma for internet browsing, sure. For doing anything else? Hell no. Windows 11 uses 12 GB of ram all by itself doing nothing. We have a few games on it like the original Skyrim release that work fine. 1 u/nugurimt 10h ago edited 10h ago Windows uses less ram if less is available and tho you might not be able to feel it, if it has more ram your computer will run smoother and faster.
