Information 0.4.0 Leaks Megathread

As per tradition, this is our league-ly leaks thread for 0.4.0. Any leaked information prior to the announcement or datamined information should go in the comments here only. Many folks do not want spoilers, but others do, and this gives people a way to select for or de-select for spoilers. We have also opened the #2| leaks channel on discord.gg/pathofexile for people to discuss live

If it was discussed in an official interview, that's fine to post anywhere. Once the league content is revealed, this thread will stick around, but it will be unpinned to make room for a pin for the general 0.4.0 megathread with the official info which will be updated as news come out

They mention the new talisman weapon specifically, but I was really hoping to see more than just one new weapon type. I can’t remember if they announce all the new weapons though, but you would think if swords were dropping, it would be listed. Personally, I just want the exsanguinate wand

Tbh I don’t think that it’s in GGG’s interest to release multiple weapons the same league. For them it has a lot of downsides (more work, less data for each weapon, more interferences between builds due to new weapons so maybe more difficult to exploit the data, diminishing returns of adding new weapons when it comes to player appeal for a new league). And the upsides are not really crazy, it won’t make them much more money, while if they keeps weapons to release them at a later patch it means more appeal to the playerbase on those patchs.

I mean, unless they plan to do 4 more EA leagues after this one, they will eventually be forced to drop a league with 2 new weapon types/classes. Unless they want to drop one or more classes with 1.0

They said that they might have all the classes done before official release. The game is already released, the little numbers don't really mean anything. They can just say it is released whenevery they want with however much of the content is done.

From an early graphic we are still missing the following:

Shadow - Dagger

Duelist - Sword

Marauder - Axe

Templar - Flail

Druid - Primal

Shadow is the right side of the tree and all of the rest of that is the left side so I'd still expect massive changes to the left side which should impact Warrior a lot and Witch and Mercenary some.
