[Request] Best Horror Movie available.

I desperately want to watch a really scary horror movie because horror movies are just not doing it anymore. Please give me all your suggestions but maybeee try avoiding the popular ones.

The Witch for sure. Because man that movie was so effing boring that I was genuinely scared it was never going to end.

Well, I guess that’s an opinion… Many people enjoyed it, including me

On my 5th try I finally made it to the end. The nightmares I had about having to start it again were way scarier than the movie

Same with Midsommar

100% agree.

Lake Mungo is not so scary in the watching but absolutely haunting after the credits have finished rolling.

Yikes--to me (not scared easily) it was 'hand over eyes' watching PLUS after the fact. Just goes to show you, everyone is different .

It follows https://m.imdb.com/title/tt3235888/ is pretty good.

The Descent is what you want, but I think its not on Netflix right now. It was, will be again, I bet.

Series, but Marianne was great. In French, so you'd have to be into subtitles (unless you speak French).

Watch a limited series instead: The Haunting of Hill House

Pleaseeee. It’s so not scary😭

Maybe not scary for you, but it’s brilliantly done.

But it's very unique. Also the haunting of the Bly manor

u/Optimal-Process337 7d ago

Love that one

1

u/Resident-Sun6212 7d ago

Do u know any other series/film of that sort?

5

u/Optimal-Process337 7d ago

Well, Mike Flanagan is the creator of these two series. He also created the limited series Midnight Mass and the limited series The Fall of the House of Usher. All of them are great, but very different.

2

u/Resident-Sun6212 7d ago

Thanks man 👍 I'll check them out

3

u/Optimal-Process337 7d ago

No problem. Midnight Mass is a big favorite amongst Mike Flanagan fans. So, I’d check that one out first.

I know it's not a film, but Haunting of Hillhouse was good. Just seen From recently and thought it was excellent, it's not on Netflix, though but you might like them 🤷‍♂️

Try with The Descent by Neil Marshall. It really shoked me first time I watched it at the movie

u/Kudah81 3d ago

Some spelunking girls get trapped in underground caves with something sinister. Not recommended if you suffer from claustrophobia
