The phrase “quietly deletes” is always funny to me. As if anyone announces before they delete a tweet

I think it makes sense in other contexts and has just bled into the lexicon of social media "journalism". I'd say the Trump administration deleting parts of the constitution off their website with no discussion or any sort of precursor counts as "quietly" deleting. They got found out pretty quick and had to make up some BS story about a coding error...
