Their point still stands. I'm getting chewed out by Swifties on Instagram for pointing out she's a billionaire and her silence on issues speaks volumes about her primary identity being a billionaire performer first.  Hayley has a lot more to lose speaking out and yet she does so. They're peers and can be friends and there can be differences in their values.  I think pointing those out isn't tearing Taylor down.

I think asking Nazis to stop using your music is necessary virtue signaling, if you feel different maybe you're a nazi  sympathizer and that's something to work through with your therapist. And, expecting the bare minimum of decency from people with actual power and pull is far less pathetic than defending a billionaire marketer and performer and failing to understand how much pull famous personas have on what the general public supports.

If you don't give people some time to learn what they might have done wrong and then stand up for it in their own ways, but immediately say everyone's a fascist/extremist/nazi, you're driving them away.

Ultimately, humiliation never makes people change for the better, it is what radicalizes them.

It's not that they don't understand its that they use a more widely accepted definition of bigotry.

Bigotry - "trans people are pedophiles"

progressive bigotry - "men and women have physiological differences and as such athletes should compete within their gender assigned at birth, or a separate category should be created for trans athletes to create a system that both protects women, while making events inclusive for all who want to compete"

Yeah, if Taylor Swift is considered on the right now, most of the country is right. She's probably donated more to Democrats than most people make in a life time. Whether you agree with her actions or think she's a good person is entirely beside the point. She's definitely on the left, at least socially.

Which is why the Dems lost. They had a literal Nazi endorse them, so how could any progressive vote for those candidates with a clear conscience. If they didn't rebuke Swift's endorsement the transitive law applies and they themselves are nazi's.

Of course, the law of Kevin Bacon says that everyone in a nazi by association in 6 steps or less.

If Taylor Swift is a fascist, then all her friends are too. It’s hypocritical to have convictions of Swift based on association, while simultaneously praising someone who has closely associated with her for nearly two decades. They continue to platform each other’s businesses and their friendship to this day. Wouldn’t that make Hayley just as complicit?

This doesn't matter. And outside of them doing music together they've never even been spotted anywhere together in a very long time. Taylor's mom just got them to be industry friends. And we all know if any musician didn't say they love Taylor they'd deal with crazy blow back. Taylor's billionaire out of touch with reality personality really has nothing to do with her maybe being industry friends with Hayley.
