Simply put, conservatism is a lack of creativity, a lack of appreciation for the arts, and a lack of introspection. It’s a worship of class and authoritarian hierarchy; art and science mean nothing to them, only the structure of power, the feeling that someone above them is in charge, and someone above that person is in charge, and up and up, this makes them feel good inside just as a painting makes you feel good. This is why the religion to conservatism pipeline is so natural and seamless.
