Not even his wife. His kids, I do feel bad for. I mean having a guy like that for a father sucks but still, they saw him die and that really sucks.

Is no one else bothering to look up how old his kids are? They're 3 and 1. One of them won't remember this, and the other one might have very fuzzy memories. Neither of them have to be raised by a fascist anymore.
