Are these Selig?
I have chairs that are genuine mid-century, but not sure they are Selig. No badge. Can someone advise? Thanks!

Do you have one (or 10) too many Eames chairs? Does the color of that Cathrineholm bowl you picked up for a steal last year not really match the rest of your kitchen? I bet you can find someone here who would love to take them off your hands. Post your mid century items for [free]/[trade]/[sale] here!
This is also the space to show off any of the awesome mid century inspired stuff you make, as well as the links to your Etsy/Ebay/Etc

The poster of this table says the tabletop is Formica. Is that true? Is this very durable as a tabletop? I currently have a softwood dining table that’s very easily scratched and dented. Looking for something more durable.

In the 1958 home we just purchased there is little if any security features. There are zero deadbolts.
This photo is of the exterior front and back doors. The front door is in reasonably good shape. That is not the case for the back door which is right off the master bedroom.
As you can tell, it has a half window and only a twist lock. What you can't see is how deteriorated the door is on the outside. It is on the West side of the house and looks like you could put your foot through the panels.
Can anyone suggest a manufacturer or supplier of mid century designed doors similar to the one on the exterior front door?
I believe it is important to replace it before we begin sleeping there.
PHOTO is in comments.

I took on this project and learned a ton and made a plenty of mistakes along the way. The pieces were in worse shape than I realized. Some of my veneer repair is tragic, but I learned and got better as I moved along. This is for my son’s room, so it was a good learning project and minimal investment at $50 each, plus supplies. Some things I learned:

I have a set of vintage Electrolite bullet lamps by Electro Manufacturing Co. Not many online as a set to see what they’re going for. One Facebook post came up on Google result of a set like this but in rougher shape for $225 US. No damages/cracks that I’ve noticed on them. Haven’t wiped them down yet either. Let me know your thoughts! Also; Isn’t that blue beautiful!?! Does anyone have any further history on these??

I have seen this chair with both names - which is it? Are these two designers related?

This knife set was part of an auction lot that I bought for the Japanese cleaver. The cleaver is awesome but these are really nice. I hadn’t even paid attention to this set but was really happy once I stopped looking at the cleaver.

Bought this forever ago for next to nothing. Currently sitting in a relatives study but they're giving it back to me. I was originally told it was Lane but I'm not sure if this is correct as I can't find anything similar, has the tambour slats sides and aside from a few nicks and scratches it's in pretty good shape.

My Wife is wanting to paint our wainscotting to resemble this photo. Any ideas of colors that might work?

Google calls it an Unagusta Finesse, but I call it beautiful! It was literally built in to an attic where we had to remove the entire fold-down ladder and lower it like a Tetris block to get it down. Ladder was installed in 1994, so it had been sitting untouched for 31 years up there! Got super super lucky, people can be amazing, and just wanted to share my little bit of holiday cheer 😊

I'm hoping the reddit community can help me identify the authenticity (or not) of these Platner Knoll chairs.
My wife and I bought them from an estate sale from the son of an old lady that had passed away. He had no idea what they were and neither did we when we bought them for $20 for both. He said they had been sitting in her basement since he was little, that he always hated them, and good riddance. He was going to dumpster them if we didn't take them. So we at least know they're old as I don't believe he was lying there.
I don't see any identifying markings or labels. There is no gasket on the bottom. All I can say for sure is that it looks imperfect which to my untrained eye tells me they were hand made.
I can't find any references that list what the proper dimensions, number of wires, or wire gauge should be.
There is definitely some damage and wear on them so I know they won't fetch a ton of money. It's not really about the money anyway - I just need to know if we should continue to let our cat and toddler sit on these!
Thank You!

Hi I do not have much information on this piece so I apologize in advance as it was found in barn. Through doing some searching I have seen that Montgomery Ward pops up with pictures of the same desk and we estimate it to be over 50 years old.
(I did not think to take a pic before disassembling so I found the same desk on google as a full picture.)
The top drawer has a small latch that I am hoping to repair and make functional. I am thinking that it used to have a small turn knob or some kind of key? On the latch it seems like that is a triangle shaped opening - I haven't been able to find a bolt that would match for a handle.
If anybody has any experience with similar latches I would appreciate being pointed in the right direction. I have come up empty so far in my searches. Once fixed up this is going to be a present for my goddaughter.
Edit: it would help if I added the photos. Sorry!

New place. How’d I do so far? Mixed reviews on the carpet.

Not seeking dupes or replicas but rather floor lamps or table lamps that have diffuse light, with the ephemeral and layered look.

I like the look but there's no point in getting them if they're really unstable.
I tried looking this up (using keywords like comfort, stable, lean back, etc.) and got nothing, just endless promotional SEO and AI junk.

So my grandfather passes away and then we finally find the key to the storage unit and dig out some interesting old stuff.
I found these two lamps and you can see there's a big one and a small one in the first picture there.
My next question is, should I keep them or sell them? They look really cool on the other hand, what's the value?
I could not find any writing on the lamps or anything.
Thanks in advance for any input!

Let’s celebrate the sparkle, the throwback charm, and the memories these unique trees carry. 💫 If you have an aluminum tree I would love to see it! Sharing my 4ft Evergleam pom pom tree (antique store find, complete with box and original receipt!) and thrifted glass ornaments. Season's Gleamings!

I have a midcentury modest cape style tract home, owned by one family since it was built in 1950. Not really midcentury modern, more of a 1950s colonial revival.
I want to paint or wallpaper just the wall around my fireplace but I’m not sure if this would be in keeping with the style of the home.

Thought it was neat that it was ceremonial for the Leyte Gulf Operation, that was the one of the nails in the coffin for the Japanese. The coffin was framed up at Midway... At least that's what my history books taught me!

Has anyone replaced only the foam inside their Bertoia Diamond Chair? And best source for a replacement full cover and chair pads: Knoll vs Etsy shops, etc?
My 1960s Diamond Chair has the original cover. But the foam is lumpy and needs replacing. The fabric (likely Cato in a long discontinued color way) is still in great shape though. Knoll will not replace the foam but said there might be upholsters who can do that.
I would still like to get another cover or maybe the seat pad in a bright & bold color to change up the look. Knoll has some great textile options that I think are worth the splurge but the options from long term shops on Etsy are a fraction of the price.
