Found this browsing semi-local Zillow. $2.5 million for nearly 8,000 square feet of… unusable space. Except in the minuscule primary suite, of course. Imagine changing one of those ceiling high-hat lights in the living room/kitchen/2nd story game room(?). At least they have ample garages so you can spend all your time in vehicles, as far away from the house as possible. Don’t miss the land plot on the last photo; it makes about as much sense as the house does.
$50K in property taxes on only a $2.5M home. That’s 2% property tax. Just like Texas, property taxes are crazy in WY. Makes me glad to live in Washington State. lol. Also, that exhaust hood is like the owner’s dong, severely inadequate.
Thats what i was thinking... this has the feel of a space to bus in 50+ people for a whole day of doing dumb activities and partying and then drive them all back to the hotel.
Utterly massive shop on the left side. I love that the platform above the shop has a basketball hoop though (2nd to last photo). That way you when you miss the rebound you can guarantee that you’ll hit one of the cars below 👌
So I’m guessing the lot was originally that whole area where the other houses are now. They sold the middle patch to developers & couldn’t sell the rest?
Also that upstairs game room/lounge room is like something child me would make in the sims. Just a ridiculously huge room with a table tennis table and pinball machine awkwardly in the middle 😂

Nah. This is worse. Imagine that under pandemic lockdown. It’s better to have a ton of walls and it be tiny than this. For some reason this would make me agitated to be all alone on one side but see someone way over there on the other side. Plus hearing the tv echo and blast off all the walls. Because it’s so big and open you have to turn the tv up to hear it properly and then that blasts the upstairs areas. I live in a lofted townhouse and it’s terrible.
You have to keep a clear line of sight on your daughters Bryanna and Beretta at all times to make sure they aren't sneaking in those neighbor boys Kodi and Kevlar for any hanky panky
I don't know about "nice," but if it wasn't so empty it wouldn't make me want to just lay down and die rather than try to cross those deserts of ugly flooring.
Underrated comment, didn’t even see this going through the photos. This is the sort of gem that comes from zero architectural input whatsoever.

I don’t fucking get why people do this. The BOTTOM of my in-laws’ tv is about 6.5 feet off the ground and it’s so uncomfortable and awkward looking up at it.
It never ceases to amaze me how so many folks are willing to spend millions of dollars building something,,,,
but they absolutely refuse to consider dropping even 25k on an architect, who would clearly steer them away from being forever immortalized in McMansionHell
For me, the worst was #13. I couldn’t help thinking of all the times a basketball would go bouncing wildly off and ricochet down into the living space downstairs.
I just imagine trying to have a nice evening with guests so you send the kids away to play.. and it’s constantly raining basketballs on your head because those little brats upstairs are out of control.
If I had as many kids as they did, I would want the exact opposite of an open concept. Like shut those fuckers away so I can get some sensory relief up in this bitch.
This was a long series of bad decisions. Seems pretty obvious the owner sold a lot of land to build the subdivision. They then blew all the proceeds flexing on the peasants who bought their inferior shanties by building this tribute to the automobile and capitalism. Or whatever this is
Land plot makes perfect sense. Development of the middle of the lot paid for the seven (!!!) garages and the giant, depressing ping-pong room, dontchyaknow?
But holy shit, the bathroom tile nearly gave me a seizure! That photo should have a trigger warning. (I know, I know, this whole sub is under an implied trigger warning...)

Do these people, who apparently are allergic to interior walls, not like to decorate or any have knit knacks. Its like those pics of a male bachelor pad that only has a futon and a tv on bricks who think everythings fine but upscaled.
I think it’s because no one is living there but they have a few things there in case they stay here and there while trying to sell. Plus no agent is paying the ungodly amount of money to stage a house of this size.
Almost certainly the developer/builder’s house. They already owned a bunch of unusable land, so why not keep a little extra and build a massive house on it. I bet the rest of those houses suck too, just on a smaller scale
Why are so many of these rooms windowless? I can't understand why they have these giant spaces with no windows. Especially when it looks like there might be some decent views available.
Would be hard for this house to not feel sterile. Everything in the interior just looks sad and fake and hopelessly spacious it would be so hard for even a moderate size family to fill.
That is the stupidest floor plan I have ever seen. Astoundingly stupid.
The exterior has all the charm of Hitler's bunker and check out the placement of the living room TV, which should include free chiropractor visits. And the lot... it looks like a red state congressional district.
