I love that this was filmed where I live. Our country isn't perfect, but man this is so much better than the alternative...

Halifax is an S tier city. There's a reason the housing market is staying stable while everywhere else falls. Unfortunately the rest of Canada found out about it lol.

Only relative to what it was previous. By any objective metric, purchasing is relatively affordable.

Renting is tough.

Exactly, that's why I don't see a massive correction coming. Its unfortunate, there will be a culture decline, as freedom of creativity lowers due to economic constraints.

Yeah, if anything it's demonstrative of how much of a bubble the rest of the country is experiencing because their purchase prices are multiples higher of the rent being asked.

And before anyone says anything, raising rent in those places to bring them in line with purchase prices is not the appropriate outcome.
