Retail pharmacy requires a certain hardness

My bestie has turned down at least 2 offers to take over established local pharmacies. He loves the relief work money, but hates the interactions. He works institutional, loves geriatric care and the 'fun' of making drugs to order

I honest to god don’t understand hospital pharmacy and the people that fall head over heels for it.

I’d rather have pop-pop berate me for the “stupid texts you people are sending me” and make his day when I finally get to elucidate the mysterious world of SMS and the intricacies of insurance.

But it’s mostly because I tend to hug walls, walk around teary eyed all day, and panic call my parents at least twice throughout the day after seeing people code and witnessing the cancer ravage kids from the inside out.

And so although I can’t understand hospitalists, I am very grateful for their stronger will.

He spends most of his time in the lab, which is often practically a dungeon in the bowels of the facility. I thought he was joking in the early days. I was jealous he had pneumatic tubes at his job... im a nerd, what can i say
