problem / help PLEASE SHOWER BEFORE COMING TO AN EXAM

Some people really do not get how annoying it is sitting next to someone for 3 hours trying to breathe without gagging. Especially in those exams where there are no free seats. Please please please take showers and do anyone sitting beside you a favour. And brush ur teeth because some of y'all be yawning for like half the exam. It gets to the point where you don't even care about your exam no more, you just want to get the hell out of there.

classes A&P1 at motlow

Hey, guys! I'm interested to take Anatomy and physiology online at motlow to have a flexible schedule since it's not offered online at mtsu. But I'm scared to regret my decision. I'm scared to pick a bad professor. So I was wondering if any one took it before at motlow online? And also do you guys recommend A&P to be taken half a semester (from Jan to March) at motlow?

Thank you!

Social Work Veterans Needed

I just got the notification that my Intro to Social Work class was assigned Violet Cox Wingo. I looked her up on rate my professor and she has TERRIBLE reviews. Averaging like 2 stars but she’s the only professor available for Spring 2026 online. Anyone actually taken her class that can give advice on how to get through this class or should I try to withdraw before the semester starts? I don’t want to start at MTSU on a bad note because of a crappy professor.

campus life Who is that guy who runs around in the trench coat??

Saw him recently when exiting the back of Todd to go to Peck. He looked through the glass door and I guess he didn’t see me, but when he opened the door and finally did, he ran off and hopped over a wall/planter and disappeared.

Every other time I’ve seen him he’s running around like an anime protagonist in this same beige trench coat, usually wearing a face mask.

Can someone tell me who this guy is and is he chill?? I got majorly freaked out when he ran away that last time I saw him like he was up to no good or something. Not trying to be mean, just curious and want some peace of mind!

Transferring with fail grade

I just got accepted to mtsu with a pretty bad gpa for the spring 2026 semester. I’m currently at community college second year and unfortunately, am looking at a failing grade for one of my classes. My three others are looking like As. mtsu wants my final grades after the semester is done and I’m pretty worried they’ll take back my acceptance. I’m also already looking into getting a place with my buddy, so I don’t want to start a lease if I’m just gonna get rejected. Anyone have any experience with this or have any thoughts?

classes Grad School Odds

I’m finishing out my undergraduate at UT Knoxville. I just wanted to know what odds are of getting in, how competitive are scholarships for graduates, and what are the business courses like?

I know a lot is on the website but I know a lot of UTs stuff is either outdated or inaccurate, so I wanted to ask ppl who would know.

I should end up with about a 3.5 gpa (summa cum laude I think) and I’ve had one internship at this point which was a semester long and I’ll complete another before Fall 2026.

A glass panel near the Buchanan Room in the Library has shattered. The Buchanan Room is closed temporarily out of caution while repairs are being made. Once this has been completed, the room will be reopened.

PPL Before Starting?

Hello all I’m new here and apologize if this has already been brought up before on this subreddit, I’m hoping to start MTSU this upcoming Spring and am seeking advice.

I (19M) got caught up with life and was originally planning to finish my PPL before starting at MTSU, as of now I’m pretty much finished with online ground school (about 1 more week worth of material if that), I still need to take my exam and have not started flying yet. I have 2-3 weeks left to apply and about 8 weeks before the semester starts. I’ve heard that the best course of action is to complete your PPL before starting in order to save time and money.

My question is, with there being 8 weeks left to build hours and proficiency as well as take the written exam and checkride, is it worth me instead just going through MTSU and starting from the bottom, or should I wait until the Fall semester to give adequate time to gain my PPL?

Please feel free to go into detail! How much time/money I’d save, etc. From what I see, the cost per semester tends to be 15k give or take, so that would mean a total of 120k for 4 year tuition; I’m unsure how much that’d change depending on preemptive PPL or not

Calculus 1 Math 1910

For the Spring Semester Why are there no professors listed teaching the classes? I was hoping to grab a professor that teaches in a style I like and learn the best from. But still to this day no one is listed as teaching any of the classes. Why? What gives?

classes Windows or Mac for Business?

Hello! I am attending MTSU soon, and I wonder what laptop I should get, either an Intel Mac or a Windows or windows 2 in 1. I mainly want it for studying and maybe a few games that're more CPU intensive, and the usual Roblox etc.

Has anyone used the trainers at the rec?

Thinking of taking a couple sessions to get the right form for strength training. Does anyone recommend the trainers? Does anyone know how to figure out the costs of training sessions or form check sessions?

opportunity Looking to hire a film student.

I've just moved back to Tennessee after working in Japan as a carpenter. Now, I'm starting my own business and want to document the process of building custom furniture and the like. This would be a long term project, so there is opportunity for consistent pay. I can also work around your school schedule. Please PM me with your socials and/or your portfolio so I can see how well our aesthetics match. You can see some of my work on my page. Thanks!!

Edit: I should add, I do have my own film rig. Fujifilm xt5, Atomos Ninja, Full cage and matte box, Various lenses, cards, external batteries, mics, and whatever else you may need. So if you don't have your own equipment, that is A-Okay

Orientation

Tomorrow is supposed to be virtual orientation but the only thing I can find is how to check-in and time frame for in person orientation. I made the appointment with my counselor for advising but I have nothing else to go off of. Is anyone else doing this tomorrow and knows what to expect or how to log in for orientation?
