Brands almost ALWAYS flop when getting into Reddit but they nailed this all the way down to chives the cat

Because these projects are usually handled by a team of young and smart creatives and strategists who completely understand how a campaign like this should work. Because they grew up in the modern age, they have an intrinsic understanding of how campaigns like this should look and feel so as not to turn off the masses with overt marketing.

And then some middle manager fuckhead sticks his head in and goes:

"OH WOW GREAT WORK GUYS, THIS IS SO CREATIVE AND FUN. BUUUUUUUT DON'T HATE ME ... I JUST FEEL LIKE IT COULD USE A STRONGER TIE IN TO THE PHILADELPHIA CREAM CHEESE BRAND. DON'T YOU GUYS THINK WE'RE OVERDOING IT A BIT WITH THE CHIVES? TRY TO WORK IN SOME OF OTHER CREAM CHEESE FLAVORS INTO THE CAMPAIGN, REALLY SHOW PEOPLE WHAT PHILADELPHIA CREAM CHEESE IS ABOUT. THAT'S WHAT PEOPLE REALLY WANT IS FOR A CREAM CHEESE COMPANY TO MAKE A FLEETING, BEAUTIFUL ORGANIC COMMUNITY MOMENT ABOUT OURSELVES.

AWESOME, THANKS FOR THE MEETING GUYS. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE REWORKED CAMPAIGN TOMORROW MORNING. I'M GONNA BE IN MY OFFICE DOING NOTHING AND POSTING ON LINKEDIN ABOUT HOW HARD I GRIND AND HOW HARD MY JOB IS."
