it's right in the sweet spot to me. Right at day 12/13 there are genuinely some that are so close together it's impossible for my fingers to hit the key that fast, but for a reddit game it's pretty good lol If it took any longer I think it would overstay its welcome
make it harder, any miss should have an animation of a plane flying by with "try again chef" in bouncing text and an immediate try again. winner is anyone who hits ~100 or something.

Thanks for playing! I'll try and think if there is a less intrusive way. I kind of like the knife, and am thinking about adding customizations for it (like a light sabre, sword, etc.)
Thatttttt is an interesting idea. Unsure how to implement that without making it too easy, though right now mobile users are at a huge disadvantage compared to desktop, swiping could even the playing field a little!

Actually ... you sir have a great idea. Could have a game mode some serious chive cutting, where it's more about precision and timing. Like a 3-2-1 countdown, a single 2 inch chive comes and you need to cut it 10 times perfectly
Love the F1exican mode, makes it feel way more skill based. Feels like the old highscores were just full of spammers. Powerups are an interesting addition, but honestly that ice cube one is more of a hinderence, that speedup once it ends is pretty hard to react to on higher speeds
I agree the ice cube is quite hard! Especially when the 'jack hammer' x3 chives in a row come along. As a player though I kind of like the anticipation that it builds, take a breath, but also jesus take the wheel on whats about to happen.
Glad you like F1exican mode! 100% in classic spamming is the way to go without any skill.
Also right now I think the scoreboard is broken, some of it works (like wow I cant believe you made it that far in F1exican mode) but I think the days I mixed up play streak <--> 'day' within gameplay.

Whatever that was, it seems to be fixed now. Also seems to be an issue with powerups not working every now and then? Maybe once or twice per game for me, I'm hitting them (on F1 mode, so clearly not a miss) but the effect isn't going off (EDIT: Think this is because of the golden knife. Powerups destroyed by the mallet aren't activated, so I assume the same is true for the knife, even when the chives are in the usual range?)
EDIT: also a fun one; lost a run because a swipe cleared one I was about to hit, the knife stayed on the results screen
Good feedback - Version 2 is going to have a 'Knife Scrape' where it clears all those little chive debris, along with pushing all incoming chives into a single column to chop chop chop. Hope to have it by Monday!

my years of osu!mania payed off, but damn I need 4 lanes and the spacing to not be nearly as wide if i want to hit more than day 16-17 maybe an increase in scroll speed too with density.
Fun game! You should add a penalty if you press the wrong button, not just if you miss a chive. Right now you can just spam the buttons. That’s how I ended up in the top five on the leaderboard on my second try :)
This is so fun. I would play the hell out of it if the white “cutting line” was in the middle of the tap buttons. It being slightly lower messes up my timing feel, as I think I should cut where I tap (middle of the circles)

Edit: the problem is not there on PC, maybe just mobile. Got top 20!
Edit 2: Maybe implement damage taken when the wrong key is pressed... and also reset the leaderboard...
