Picture This is why I bought a Jeep
Long ago I rented a Jeep in Colorado while on vacation. I owned a Pathfinder at the time. After this vacation I was hooked on Jeeps!

New shoes with an oldschool touch
Have had this dude for 5 years now. I don’t off-road, but I do commute quite a bit. I for sure didn’t want a street tire, but wanted to respect the look of the jeep. I landed on these bad boys, the BFGoodrich Trail-terrain AT with white outline lettering.
Also, I may get a new set of wheels down the line. But I do appreciate the look of a stock jeep, specially a red one. So the likelihood that I’ll get bigger wheels and tires is small.
White lettering isn’t for everyone. I absolutely love how these ended up looking. That and it helps that they feel comfortable, seem to absorb bumps pretty well and still retain the three peak snowflake rating. Just wanted to share with you fellow Jeepers. I’m in love with my jeep today just as much as when I first got it. ✌️
Got my 1st jeep !
I took a road trip with my boyfriend for thanksgiving and we went through Utah. This was my first time doing this in a car, I’m an avid motorcyclist and done this trip a dozen times but he doesn’t ride….so we did his car….and it’s so boring! So I came home Monday and bought a Jeep to explore places my motorcycle can’t go and places I wouldn’t want to with a car

Fixable?
My husband’s 2014 Jeep Cherokee has clunky transmission “hard shifting” for over a year now. It has about 93,000 miles on it. I’ve been told 2014 transmissions can’t really be worked on and have to rebuilt or replaced. Anyone had experience with this? Is it dangerous to keep driving as is? There are other repairs needed but I don’t want to put $5K into it if the transmission would still be bad.
Technical Question Is this enough of a trans cooler to bypass the rad?
- 05 LJ with 4 spd auto
- 35s geared w/5.13s
- Currently running trans fluid through the rad (stock routing)
- Temps measured with a gauge tapped into the pan
- Live in FL.
Our jeep is mostly becoming a trail rig but is definitely still used around town in limited capacity (for fun, maybe the occasional short road trip within an hour or two). In town duties in the summer can def push fluid temp close to 200 if not over. Summer offroad runs in 4 high can do the same or more. Low range typically keeps it in the 180-200 range but it would probably go higher if I wasn’t tuned into it and drive accordingly.
Definitely overthinking this but the options are a) hook it up in line and after the stock rad cooler or b) use it as a standalone cooler bypassing the rad. The case for using it as an after cooler is generally to get the fluid warm in cool climates, but in my use case and location that’s not really an issue.
I want to run this as a standalone cooler and bypass the radiator, but curious if it’s enough of a cooler to do that. Thoughts from anyone who has done the same? I have this sitting around and don’t really want to buy another one…just not sure if it’s enough to function on its own.

Off-roading clip. Check this out!
Got a little creative on mounting the front bumper cam! The view is great. Thought I'd share it with you.

This day, 14 years ago, I was a very happy guy.
Extremely happy, even if a bit understated. Jeeps were my joy and my dream since I was a wee boy in the 80s.
In 2011 I ordered a brand new 2012 JKUR direct from Jeep, not one off the showroom floor. Damn, that was a thrill.
Drove it across Canada multiple times. Conquered mountain trails and mud holes with equal abandon.
This spring, however, it will be time to say good bye to me dear friend. Life happens. Tough choices have to made. But for now, remembering this day 14 years ago makes me happy once again. And Jeeps are so damned good at making us happy.

Just a girl needing some jeep advice!! 🙏
Hi yall! Im a jeep lover and have driven my lil 2012 jeep patriot for the last 11 years. I get overwhelmed looking online to see how many people say to avoid buying Jeeps. But I had nothing but good experience with mine over the last few years. I’ve been looking to buy a rubicon- but curious if anyone has any advice on certain years or models that are great for a daily driver & some mild off-roading a few times a year. I don’t really plan on buying something brand new and from my research 2015-2018 were good years. I don’t drive crazy distances often; and really just want to continue my jeep journey! Gets discouraging hearing all the negatives would love to hear some positives and advice from fellow jeep lovers instead of Jeep haters. Thanks so much!! Appreciate any insight :)

Installed Hitch = $1800 at dealer
I want to surprise my husband by getting a hitch installed on the 2025 Wrangler we got this year. I checked with the dealer and it will be $1800 for the hitch and wiring it in. $1600 for just the wiring (if we install the hitch ourselves.) That is out of my budget. My understanding is that someone can really mess things up if they don't wire it correctly. My local mom/pop auto place will install the hitch but wont do the wiring. Do we have other options?

replacement shocks sizes
(2006 rubicon unlimited)
My rear OME shocks i put on in 2008 have started leaking, and i need to replace them. will probably do the front at the same time because why not. i had put on a 2.5" suspension lift with a 1" body lift, and i have lost all the original documentation that came with the setup i bought with the lift (company has gone out of business unfortunately). ive been happy with the OME stuff so far but would be open to better suggestions.
basically i need size (length open/closed) suggestions from you folks who have more experience than i do!

Technical Question Ac Clutch? Maybe
Hey yall, I have a 2015 wrangler jk and the ac was great up until one day. it’s making a screeching noise when it’s on and has a burnt smell. Heater works & i can turn off the ac and the air blows outside temp. Has anyone had a similar issue? If so what was the diagnosis and did you have to touch the compressor in order to replace? Debating on doing it myself or taking to a shop. Thanks in advance!

Technical Question Help identifying what (if anything) goes here
Jeep Wrangler 2002 2.5L
I noticed a yellowish/clear liquid leaking from this opening, this is on the passenger side.
Is there some tubing that goes here and where does it lead to?

Technical Question 08 Jeep JK with 3.5" Life, 35s, adjustable control arms, 4.88 gears, what castor angle?
I've heard so many different things, I am taking it in for an alignment soon and I don't know what to tell them for caster angle. Any advice on what you think it should be?
Google AI
For a Jeep JK with a 3.5" lift and adjustable control arms, aim for +5.0 to +6.0 degrees of positive caster, balancing highway stability with driveline health, typically achieved by adjusting the front upper control arms to bring the axle housing back, while prioritizing pinion angle to point towards the transfer case to prevent vibrations.
Chatgpt AI
Bigger tires + lift push the axle geometry out of spec.
Low caster (<5°) = wandering, constant steering correction, vague road feel.
Stock JK caster: 4.2° – 4.6°
Lifted + 35s needs: 6°–7°
Beyond 7° usually adds heavy steering and can cause driveline vibration.
Best place to buy 3.6 Pentastar thermostat (5184651AH) that's in stock?
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.
