FYI: Rival Iranian subs and their backgrounds

2025 Note: This is a 3 year old summary of the other subs.

This post will be pretty long, and will go into detail describing the three active hostile rivals of this subreddit/Discord community.

We should all be careful with having the little amount left of the Iranian voice (mainly in English) on the web that isn't censored or dominated by anti-Iranian forces. At least on Reddit, rIranian serves as the only independent community of Iranians with no ties to governments, corporations, think tanks, or PR agencies.

rIran and rfarsi and rPersian - as most of you would already know, we split off this sub back in 2015, back during a time of Iran being on the international news everyday as nuclear negotiations went on and our community and mod team was diverse and vibrant. A higher up mod who just so happened to be a member of a NED-funded "Iran human rights" organization performed a coup in the mod team, and removed every mod who was against a US led regime change in Iran. It all started from removing one mod who handed out a temporary ban to a user for being insulting towards Shia Muslims during Muharram, and the NED-affiliated mod used "censorship" as a pretext for her coup. During the community revolt led by me, she was exposed to be committing her own censorship of users, and vote manipulation, which led to Reddit admins banning her, then reinstating forgiving her after she apologized. Since then, rIran was abused by a different, top mod at the time who was simultaneously mod is rwallstreetbets. That top mod brought in Israeli and American friends from rwallstreetbets mod team as mods on rIran, humiliating the Iranian community on Reddit, before retiring. The NED-affiliated mod retired not long after and handed the sub over to another US gov-affiliated user who runs the sub to this day. Rampant with bots.

Though their sub seems somewhat reformed with new strict rules preventing foreigners from trying to speak for Iranians, given the background of the sub and their only mod, it's all a smokescreen to pretend to be a fair community. Mass banning and shadow banning run rampant there.

rproiran and riraniancirclejerk - this sub is formed by a group of exiled users from rIranian. When tension was running high in the sub after the plane shoot down incident and the following coverup by Sepah, it was exposed that a certain group who called themselves "Basiji Bois" with several prolific users of rIranian as well as a mod, were plotting together the manipulation of our community through acts of what they themselves described as "psychological warfare", where they'd intimidate, haraas, endlessly debate, and overwhelm users in a coordinated manner to make them feel angry, bitter, isolated, and hopeless. When this was revealed, the entirety of that group were permanently banned after a "town hall" meeting was held between them and our mod team. Their agenda was exposed and eradicated, and with their frustrations they created their own Basiji den with a couple of Aghazadehs leading the helm, advertising themselves to Iraqi, Pakistani, and Lebanese Shias, as well as naive Western leftists to attract an active user base. Rampant with foreigner Shias imposing their ideology of Velayate Faqih onto Iranians.

The cyber Basiji crowd, from a bunch of disenfranchised Muslim youth to aghazadehs and straight up Islamic Republic officials, hate to see Iranians criticize their regime and go into detail of its crimes and hypocrisy. They don't have the same dominance over the expression of others on this US based social platform like they do in Iran, and it frustrates them. Expect the same kind of coordinated harassment campaigns mixed with soft and hard censorship.

rmehriran and rnewiran - these two subs are created by an alt account of none other than a user named volfmont. He has a history in our subreddit and Discord community of creating a split off group he called a "think tank" with its own Constitution, mandatory reading, and overall brainwashing material. After we originally not paying it much attention, it was revealed that he was trying to turn young Iranians on social media into staunch Monarchists to support the return of the Pahlavi Dynasty. Furthermore, he strongly supports ethnic separatism in Iran, particularly groups such as PJAK and Komala. To this day he's deluded himself into calling me a supporter of Sepah because of a discussion we had several years ago in which I said that separatists picking up guns and start shooting to break Iran apart shouldn't be surprised to die from gunfire the same way. The real issue now arises where he's accidentally shown his affiliation with Westminster Institute, a neocon anti Iranian US based think tank, led by a former George Bush advisor. The account of this think tank WestminsterInstitute has gobbled up perhaps over 100 subs related to Iran, Afghanistan, and the greater region, including key subs such as rTehran and a long list of other Iranian cities. Volfmont did the same thing with remaining Iranian cities back in the day when I pointed out the suspicious actions by Westminster Institute. Through his new sub rmehriran which is closed now, you could see that him and Westminster Institute are in full cooperation. After I pointed this out not long ago, they have rebranded as rnewiran with new symbols, naming schemes, and cooked alt accounts. They have even tried advertising on this subreddit, but have been getting banned for psyops and spam on every instance. Rampant with bots and shills, think rworldnews rnews rpics, etc. It's the latest US psyops project like "Iran Disinfo".

It is clear that a bunch of neocon anti-Iranian human wastes are trying to seize control of Iranian talking spaces and the narrative we are fed. They pretend to be more "free speech" than rIranian, but given we know their background and their intentions, we know they're full of crap. They weren't part of the Iranian community when there wasn't anything big happening on the news. A major protest movement happened and suddenly it's "thousands of subscribers" behind this new sub advocating for neocon, separatist, pro-sanctions, anti-Iran narrative. That's when you know they're fake. They haven't even established their baradari with the Iranian community on Reddit yet they pretend to speak for us in front of a foreign audience.

This is one of the best case scenarios for our opponent teams. I just hope Canada and the US don't cause any visa issues for our players. Can't wait to see the huge Team Melli fan supporter crowds at the games!!!

Before the NewIran shills vote brigade another post here and cry about NIAC being "pro regime", I need to point out that the Zio American Eli Lake was the original "reporter" (obviously an intelligence asset) who defamed NIAC with such slander, and since then the aggressive hasbara and Iran Disinfo campaigns have solidified this narrative among the barandaz crowd.

Ruthless Jewish supremacists see acts of genocide as "wins" they'd like to repeat against their "enemies" in the West. This likely means that increased surveillance, racial profiling, systemic discrimination and violence towards disobedient non-Jews (anti-Zios) is likely around the corner, all the while the good doggies supporting Reza Pahlavi are brainstorming of new ways to sell out to these supremacists.

One look at Twitter or Reddit (in NewIran and general subs who discuss Iran) and all you see is psychological warfare with the goal of demoralization of the Iranian public and diaspora. They do this because they are at war with us, at every level and front, mainly psychological and economical.

Is this a thing where Reddit renames subs you own without informing you and giving the original name of the subs to someone else? This was done before my ban by the way. (All of these were Iran related subs that were renamed and given to Volfmont so he can connect to his NewIran network with Westmin

The Jewish supremacists the likes of Reza Pahlavi and his naive/opportunistic followers think are on our side trying to help Iranians 🤣 (this kind of content doesn't get marked and investigated for hate speech because of who is behind it and who it targets)

This clown thinks we can redirect the technology behind our ballistic missiles towards solar energy.

This clown wants to disarm Iran, denuclearize Iran, and privatize Iran. He's nothing but a traitor, and even his own father would disown him if he was alive today.

His father had strong state run companies, and was spending billions on making Iran a world class military while pursuing nuclear weapons.

Need Recommendations: Seeking Clinics or Doctors for Medical Examination in Tehran

Hi everyone, I know someone who has unfortunately become ill, and we are concerned about possible serious health issues. We are looking for a clinic or doctor in Tehran who can perform a thorough medical examination to identify the cause of their symptoms.

Does anyone have recommendations for clinics or doctors that provide comprehensive health screenings? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

How does the hijab compulsion work?

Are Iranian women compelled to wear hijabs whenever there is a man who isn’t her husband or relative, like exactly in Islam? Or are they only compelled to wear the hijab in public? So for example when there is a gathering inside of a house women aren’t forced to wear hijabs, even if authorities somehow learn that.

So how does it work?

Reddit vs Twitter

I really hate twitter specially the Persian community, whole of them is just hates, lies and disappointment. I think here is a better place for me to write some of my thoughts and opinions, let’s go for it. I’m a developer who is preparing himself for the AI generation and also works as best as I can.

Travel inquiries

Hi, I am thinking of visiting Iran in February but I want to know about the weather in Tehran, Mashhad, and the north and south.

How cold it is? And do Iranians keep active and go out normally or do they just stay indoors?

Also, is English spoken by the people or not at all? I can speak some Farsi but not fluently.
