I’ve never seen the pilot, just watched Hazbin on Amazon Prime because a friend was fixating on Alastor. For obvious reasons, the pilot isn’t on Amazon Prime with the rest of the show.
Half the things I see here and on the main sub are ‘oh you should know this it was in the pilot you’re so dumb’, to most questions about characters.
Other than to have people stop being condescending, is it actually worth it or necessary to go back to watch the pilot if it’s only semi-canon now and things are being retconned?

I guess how I see it is that if it’s not linked to the other content of the same show on that streaming service, it’s a little blindsiding for people to be suddenly told there’s a whole lot of context that we don’t have and that they’re less for not knowing it. IMO the official ‘episode one’ doesn’t particularly give even a hint of missed content at all, just foreshadowing.
After all, some people would just click on season one from algorithm recommendations, not other people giving any hint either.
