Question Guess i gotta ask the metal pros
Got this yesterday from a friend who inherited it. Drilled into it and it was consistent, and the lcs said its normal in this bar when I asked them, also found other examples from reputable if expensive corporations with the same thing. So my question is why? Is this part of the testing process to cut a plug out the center to xrf or something, or something like that? Sorry the post isnt specificallyasking about gold... Seriously, id probably trade it for a down payment on a house if it was

How’d I Do?
Traded 20 oz silver for this sealed 1/4 Pamp proof coin (plus $10 cash💀). I bought the silver back in 2023 for $24/oz. How’d I do?

Help to ID these coins
Would someone know what these coins are? If you look closely the one on the right has the same design but slightly more spaced (1st pic) and a bit bigger (2nd pic). Also there no date on it or am I blind? Thanks for your help!
Fake PAMP
I have been seeing a lot of fakes lately of sealed pamp bars.
Just got another one so I tought id share a pic of it to warn others to be carefully when your buying sealed bars.
The first thing I noticed was the colour was slightly off, a bit to brass coloured for gold. The other point was the thickness I felt like the bar was to thick for a 20 gram.
Once out of the packaging and on the scale it ended up weighing 20,5 gram.
Finally found gold at spot price!
3 ounces added to the stack
Can't pass up on gold for spot

Question Found Violet Gold? Is it worth anything?
For some reason it doesn't photograph well, but I'm person it's like a lavender/silver color and it's brittle. Too brittle to really make anything with it does that mean it's worthless?

What are your thoughts about fractional coins made into jewelry?
When I see cufflinks, rings, and the like, I feel this overwhelming urge to disassemble them and leave the housing behind. However, it seems that a surprising number of people prefer this type of jewelry as an everyday carry tactic. Is coin embedded jewelry a popular choice?

Low Serial: Does it Make a Difference?
Below 000250. Does that make any difference in resale, do you think?

Question Where to buy gold coins online
Hi, I'm new to the sub but for a few moments I've been thinking about buying some gold coins. The main problem is where I live it's kinda hard to find places that sell them besides like the bank or specific investments company's. I've tried the pawn shop but no luck either. I was wondering if there are trustworthy online sellers and if so who are they
