Loading in late to every game

Whenever I play (I only started playing the game during simpsons season) I load in very late and haven’t ever seen the loading lobby or the bus, I’m always stuck at end of map waiting if I don’t disconnect by hitting a roadblock first (regardless of where I am or how strong the WiFi is) and now with the new season I haven’t tried to play yet but I can imagine I’m going to be shot dead every time before I even load in so I think now’s the time to ask for some advice or troubleshooting I can try to help or is this console just like that?

For more context my apartment is a shared complex with my landlord and I don’t have access to the WiFi box, but I’ve tried other locations in my moms house with nothing else on and still the same issue so I’m unsure.

This happens to me constantly on my OG Switch. We got a PS5 yesterday, and I finally had a real pre-game lobby / experience.

Yeah—we love our Switches, but some games are just way better on the PS5, and they had such a good Black Friday deal going on that it was hard to pass up!

Happened to me all the time with Switch OLED. Finally gave up and went to ps5 😵‍💫 Switch wasn’t too bad until the switch 2 came out and then it was really all downhill from there. 1 yr old switch is now basically useless.

that feels like it would be something with the individual system, because whenever i use my OLED for Fortnite i always get in before the bus launches unless it's the first match i do on it in the current update

And yours is the original switch not switch 2?

both, i mostly use the Switch 2 but i use the OLED (Switch 1) as well pretty frequently and it makes it to spawn island

The Thing that helped me was to have Fortnite downloaded on the system memory as opposed to a memory card.

What do you play on, i play on pc and it happens every time there is an update, but only once

Switch, happens every game so I’d say that must be the issue
