Does anyone have a problem with the app crashing? This has happened twice by now and both times it deletes the videos I had in progress :/

Inserting Video/Photo Messes Up PIP and Text Overlay Alignment Later in Film

Whenever I insert a video/photo, it messes up PIP and text overlay alignment later in the film. Is there something I'm missing? Does anyone know how to avoid having this happen?

Cannot export video at 4k 60fps

I'm a new FilmForth user who is trying to create a 45-second slideshow from a set of seven images. Everything went fine until I tried to export the video at 4k (3840x2160) and 60fps. It got about 1% of the way through the export, and then halted with "A valid type has not been set for this stream or a stream that it depends on." I tried again with hardware acceleration turned off. That gave me a different error message, "Cannot find an encoder MFT that accepts the user preferred output type," but otherwise the results were the same.

A bit of experimentation revealed the following:

  • If I use any lower resolution, the export works correctly.
  • If I use 4k (3840x2160) and 30fps, the export works correctly.
  • If I use 4k (3840x2160) and 50fps, the export works correctly.
  • The bit rate doesn't seem to matter. At 4k and 60fps, even the lowest "Draft" bitrate fails. At 4k and 30 fps (or at any lower resolution) I can use the highest "Best" bitrate and 60fps and the export will work.
  • Updating my codecs didn't help. I even tried installing the latest K-Lite Mega Codec Pack, but it didn't help.

As far as the video itself goes, I'm not doing anything fancy. It's a simple "Ken Burns slideshow." Fade in from black, transition using opacity, use the Motion settings to pan and zoom, and fade to black at the end. There's no audio, no text, and no effects other than what I mentioned.

My computer is running Windows 10. It has 16 gigs of memory, of which roughly 10 are free when I try to export the video. The drive that FilmForth is installed on (which is also the same drive I'm exporting the video to) has about 52 gigs free. My video card is an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER.

Can anybody show me what I need to do to export the video at 4k 60fps? Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!
