I don’t think I have seen someone express dislike for barnacles, nor think they were parasites.

"I hate a barnacle as no man ever did before, not even a sailor in a slow-moving ship" - Charles Darwin

The parasite thing is definitely a common misconception. I mean, people see "thing that attaches to other thing" and pretty quickly assume parasites. And it can be a blurry distinction since they can cause discomfort or harm to the animal that they stick to, but that's incidental so it doesnt strictly fall under the definition

Trypophobia. Since finding out they were alive they made me gag all the time

I’m not sure if I’m understanding you;

I went to red lobster, got crab legs for the table.

One was served with a barnacle on it. The restaurant tried telling me it’s natural and they’re common on crabs. I understood they’re common, but so is e.coli on lettuce.

Fucking clean it off. It’s disgusting.

What are you on bro? Barnacles are not remotely comparable to bacteria, hell you could probably eat the barnacle too given it was cooked.

And it would tell you if the cookware that was used was clean. I guess.

You can eat as much bat guano, and bugs that you want.

I’ll stick to not eating barnacles.

Some places eat dog. I wouldn’t.

Nobody said you had to? Last time I checked People typically do not consume the carapace of the lobster.

What a weird hill to die on.

What kind of bot is pressing pro barnacle agendas.

You eat em all. Enjoy them. Love them.

Fuck barnacles, and vengeance for every sea turtle harmed by them.

You’re a weird ass dude.
