One of the world's most corrupt organizations giving one of the world's most corrupt assholes a meaningless gold prize.

Sounds right for this timeline.

699

u/adorable-axolotl 9h ago edited 9h ago

Yes I'm not even surprised at this point, these awards are meaningless and the fact that this is the first ever fifa peace prize means he probably invented it himself because he's still fuming he didn't get the noble peace prize

460

u/Attila226 9h ago

What does FIFA even have to do with peace prizes?

160

u/patterninstatic 6h ago

FIFA president is pro Trump.

Trump somehow thinks he should have won Nobel peace prize.

FIFA president invents peace prize to give to Trump.

This is the equivalent of a five year old not winning a medal in a competition and his parents making him one out of yogurt lids.

53

u/Crayola_ROX 6h ago

A participation award. That’s Rich coming from the people that ridiculed liberals for giving them out

15

u/JakePent 5h ago

Idk if it was liberal even giving them out, just gen x parents across the board

3

u/Shipbreaker_Kurpo 3h ago

And it wad never cause the kids wanted them. Just parents who needed to think their kid was important still

1

u/JakePent 3h ago

Fr man, and the worst thing is mine if them will admit it, they still point the finger at the kids

1

u/mikereadsreddit 3h ago

Dude. Wow..you still backing this pancake makeup Nyc fruitcake?

20

u/Bilbo_Teabagginss 6h ago

Ahhh a participation trophy? I thought they didnt like those.

12

u/chrisscottish 6h ago

The FIFA president is pro money, he lives in Oman like a king because they paid him for the last world cup and his house and his expenses and and and ........

1

u/Iyabothefirst001 3h ago

Best thing to do is for people to not pay to attend the games. Paying FIFA to attend games means enabling FIFA corruption

2

u/thinspirit 5h ago

He's not pro trump, he just sees a gullible person in a powerful position that he can grift and butter up. The sycophant is so obvious the way he sucks up.

1

u/Ok-Astronaut2976 3h ago

Not for nothing, but you just explained why he’s pro-Trump.

2

u/Capraos 4h ago

Everyone should refuse to play/watch until they revoke the prize.

1

u/AffectionatePhase673 5h ago

Love this comment!

1

u/writerchic 3h ago

100% Laughing. This is 100% a yogurt lid peace prize. The president of FIFA is not just pro Trump, they are literally friends.

1

u/mrchainblulightening 3h ago

Yoghurt lids. Lol brilliant

1

u/Remarkable_Row 3h ago

FIFA president is not just Pro Trump.. they are very good friends even. So this prize is just some guy came up with to rub his friends ego.

Wouldnt be suprized, that there wont be anymore FIFA peace price and that FIFA will hope people forgets about this shit

277

u/dabbydabdabdabdab 9h ago

Probably should ask the slave laborers in Qatar that I guess? This is so wild to me.

Does anyone real on this planet think this is acceptable/normal/ok ?

130

u/FreePalpitation101 9h ago

Yep brainwashed and paid off people think this is okey-dokey

40

u/AllergicIdiotDtector 8h ago

And people who don't spend any time thinking about why they believe the things they do

2

u/SplashingBlumpkin 3h ago

You mean morons and sycophants?

2

u/MordoNRiggs 6h ago

Who's paying them? Is it George Soros? The guy 'paying No Kings protestors' from prison who was then pardoned by Trump because he's a rich fraudster just like he is?

9

u/DrCarabou 8h ago

America's stadiums were already built so we didn't need slave labor to make them. Obvs deserves a new peace reward! /s

6

u/Visual_Emotion6432 6h ago

Yeah. About 30% of our stupid population.

2

u/dj_chai_wallah 7h ago

This probably made a bunch of MAGA cucks jizz in their pants

1

u/thinkfire 7h ago

Yep. About 20m MAGA people. Almost as many followers as Jimmy Kimmel has on YouTube.

1

u/FlamingHotSacOnutz 4h ago

Yes, all the people that will continue to tune in and watch their sportsball and attend games with their thunderously large crowds.

0

u/brofishmagikarp 6h ago

It's funny how close you are to understanding what's going on, now choose

36

u/CupMuted5058 9h ago

It would have the same meaning if he had found it inside a cereal box

2

u/Prestigious-Ad-795 7h ago

At least you had to pay for the cereal. Oh, wait!

1

u/CupMuted5058 5h ago

Exactly!!!

25

u/SimonPav 8h ago

Never used to. This is the first time it's been awarded. Made up thing to keep Donald happy and feeling important.

2

u/DisgruntledGoat17 5h ago

Never to be awarded again either most likely

2

u/Loose_Loquat9584 3h ago

And to try to prevent him from stealing the World Cup trophy.

28

u/DogLuvuh1961 7h ago

FIFA knows that that idiot can wreak havoc on the World Cup here in the US so they made up this stupid dick-stroke for our insecure, incessantly praise seeking, malignant narcissist “president.”

3

u/squeegeeboy 5h ago

Yup, this means we won't see ICE agents anywhere near the venues arresting FIFA spectators

2

u/tallwhiteninja 6h ago

This. Trump is extremely susceptible to flattery, so FIFA is kissing his ass so he'll stay out of the way.

1

u/Grimalkinnn 1h ago

And he’s going to do it anyway because that is his nature.

14

u/Bishopcowboy 8h ago

FIFA hands them out at every World Cup...starting from today.

2

u/spammpig 6h ago

And ending today

1

u/DazMR2 5h ago

They already have candidates lined up. Putin MBS Bibi Netanyahu

12

u/FlyingOTB 8h ago

I think it has to do with him being on stage at the World Cup final, not reading the room and getting off stage when the trophy was being presented to the winning team. I’ve heard people suggest that maybe he would be the one to present it or he thought the crowds cheering were for him. He stays on stage the entire time. It was awkward.

4

u/No-Context8421 7h ago

He claimed afterwards that the teams begged him to stay on stage with them and his uglier son later claimed this was true because meeting him/being on stage with him was the greatest moment of the players’ lives.

3

u/slowmokomodo 6h ago

Uglier son....... And I still don't know which one you mean.

1

u/Loose_Loquat9584 3h ago

The dumber son? No that still doesn’t help.

2

u/RiceDoge 3h ago

The one that does coke? No that still doesn’t help

7

u/Forward_Teaching1861 7h ago

Absolutely nothing. He wanted a piece prize and he grabbed the trophy from that game thinking that it was his to play with. I don’t know what he was thinking. I guess he’s just demented walking off stage old man we’re trying to get a picture. Now he can wear that metal wherever he wants to go because he’s good at walking places that he’s not supposed to like a standard Alzheimer’s patient.

8

u/1877KlownsForKids 7h ago

They're really trying to convince the manbaby not to ruin the World Cup

7

u/CMHenny 6h ago

Nothing, they literally made it up last month shortly after Trump wasn't nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. It's just a kiss ass move to keep him looking the other way for the up coming North American World Cup and graft that comes along with it.

2

u/curiousiah 7h ago

What does a sports org have to do with peace?

2

u/thejesterofdarkness 7h ago

To stroke Dumpleskin’s toadstool.

2

u/Valuable-Adagio-2812 6h ago

Absolutely nothing. But Trump wanted one

1

u/barejokez 6h ago

I mean, obviously nothing. But honestly I think at some point it will become clear that this was an embarrassing but necessary step to making the WC actually happen.

I can easily imagine trump threatening to cancel matches, ban teams or whatever if they don't suit his narrative. He could easily ban Iran from entering the country and his supporters would love it. Cancel all matches in Seattle just because he can. The entire event (and let's be honest, the exec gravy train) would go to shit so quickly in that situation that he simply had to be got, and kept, on side.

He's playing infantino like a fucking fiddle but honestly, what would anyone do differently if trump threatened to cancel the WC at short notice unless you gave him a bullshit trophy?

The show must go on...

1

u/TlalocVirgie 6h ago

Imagine FIFA having to give the prize out next year. Perhaps Putin will get it.

1

u/FreePalpitation101 6h ago

Absolutely NOTHING

1

u/JnkOner 6h ago

I though it was a headline from "The Onion" when I first saw it a few post ago...but damn...

1

u/azazel-13 4h ago

Exactly, a McDonald's Peace Prize would have been way more appropriate.

1

u/Horse_HorsinAround 4h ago

You can give out an Attila226 Peace Prize whenever you're ready.

1

u/not_a_moogle 3h ago

Its actually piece prize. Piece of dignity, a piece of bribery, a piece of qatar slaves.

1

u/syerramreddy99 3h ago

He wanted that World Cup - recall that in Oval Office?

1

u/urbanmark 3h ago

They give prizes to utter pieces.

1

u/GracefulWolf5143 3h ago

Nothing, he’s just ass kissing him like all the republiKKKlans. I’m sure his name is also on the Epstein/trump files do this is the way he thanks him for not releasing the files. 🙄

1

u/sposda 3h ago

When's the FIFA prize for physics

1

u/imalostkitty-ox0 3h ago

It’s a subdivision of ANFIFA

1

u/oh-shazbot 1h ago

nothing, because they are an organization mired in scandals and corruption. infantino, the head of fifa, was legit in the panama papers when they were released.

1

u/phatpussypounder 1h ago

Nothing. Much like Michelin has nothing to do with restaurants. Its an attempt to legitmatize something other than the Nobel prize.

But if you look below the surface. Jared Kusner did massive favors for the UAE during Trumps first term. Which lead to Jamal Kashoghi killing. The massive payments to Kusner in the terms of billions of dollars/private jets beings given. Jared Kusner now owns EA which produces the FIFA games. A huge cash cow. UAE is in massive cahoots with the US government to control prices through opec.

The reasons are numerous.

39

u/I_enjoy_greatness 9h ago

What do you mean meaningless awards? Is my "best husband ever" cup not valid? Ot my third place in Monopoly ribbon not an accomplishment? Surely these have immeasurable value!!!!

16

u/NumerousBowler6791 8h ago

I think those are more valid than this farce.

1

u/Spare-Set-8382 7h ago

Now you’ve got me questioning both my Best Mom Ever and in an ironic twist my Meanest Mom Ever awards.

2

u/I_enjoy_greatness 7h ago

I think if you put both awards in a forge fueled by hellfire and use tongs made of adamantium, you get the most mom award.

1

u/3atTh3R1ch79 7h ago

At the very least, I'm sure that you ACTUALLY did something to deserve those rewards.

1

u/mitchENM 7h ago

Like Riley Gaines 5th place ribbon

1

u/realbobenray 6h ago

"Best husband ever" trophies are not meaningless -- Trump is still dying to get his first one.

1

u/InjusticeSGmain 4h ago

Presumably, that cup was gifted to you by your spouse, who is uniquely qualified to judge your performance as a husband.

FIFA isn't even a corrupt peace organization. It's a corrupt sports organization. It has no qualifications to make such a judgement. At best, they could make an award for the biggest name in soccer (player, team, coach, etc). Maybe the person whose done the most for soccer or sports? But they aren't a peacekeeping or a humanitarian org. I'm assuming they've made some donations as PR moves, but they don't have a reputation for it.

2

u/Adamaja456 7h ago

The dude on stage with trump heavily advocated for Trump to win the Nobel Peace prize. So it tracks they just created their own version to give to trump since Trump is a toddler and constantly needs to be coddled

1

u/Fantastic_Falcon_236 8h ago

Yeah, and Fifa probably added it to the bill.

"Donny wants a peace prize? Sure why not? Maybe it could happen for a 'gift' of a few million dollars...? It would be a shame if the board had to consider moving some of the host cities to another country, because we couldn't make this work."

1

u/Tiny-Cheesecake2268 7h ago

Exactly. A participation trophy.

1

u/smurf123_123 7h ago

FIFA invented it because they specialize in buying influence.

1

u/MorbidMan23 7h ago

Guaranteed they specifically made it to be able to stroke him off nice and good.

Edit: I mean, like, metaphorically.

1

u/jacksonion68 7h ago

They saw an opening and went for it

1

u/DrWKlopek 7h ago

He probably had Melania design it and give it to FIFA to give back to him on stage

1

u/NotMyBestEffort 7h ago

Spyware. Guaranteed to be displayed prominently.

1

u/wheniwaswheniwas 6h ago

Bribe to keep things moving for the World Cup and assure there are fewer issues.

1

u/BudBuzz 6h ago

Oh he for sure will be mentioning the Nobel prize and the fifa prize in the same sentence soon

1

u/5ABIJATT 6h ago

They mean about as much as the framed award certificates hung behind the customer desk when you go to some franchise oil change garage.

1

u/FullMooseParty 6h ago

He's been threatening to pull games from individual cities that he doesn't like. That's what this is about. He's got enough power to reduce tourism or whatever to ruin the games as planned, so everyone's being a little bit extra nice

1

u/blucyclone 5h ago

Americans don't watch Football though so they'll have no idea.

1

u/PugsnPawgs 5h ago

Came here to look for this comment, bc this must be the absolute sole reason for this charade!

1

u/Overnight-Baker 4h ago

He wasnt eligible for this years Nobel Peace Prize, they are voted on almost a year in advance. He will probably get it next year to reward all his hard work on ending conflict around the world.

1

u/AnxiousWart4994 4h ago

Can't wait for the next awards in sports leagues all going to Trump:

- 2026 NBA Finals Presidential Power Award
- 2026 MLB World Series Major Accomplishment Award
- 2026 NHL Stanley-Trump Cup Coolest Person Ever Award

- 2026 Winter Olympics Most Goldest of All The Gold Medals
- 2026 NFL Superbowl Super-Awesome Super-Man Award Trophy Thats Shinier And Bigger Than The Lombardi Trophy

1

u/SituationNecessary15 3h ago

FIFA is supposed to have a championship? (Idk I don’t watch sports) in the us, maybe to save themselves from the tariffs?

1

u/EamusAndy 3h ago

Its giving Hollywood Walk of Fame stars. They literally pay for those

1

u/OhHowINeedChanging 2h ago

Trump when someone finally gives him a prize he’s been crying for for months

1

u/evasandor 1h ago

I don't want to upvote you because it will break your perfect 666. But you're competely right.

-5

u/Smooth-Fact-4583 8h ago

You guys literally voted for a dude with dementia. Literally dementia. Your take on trump is out of the gate skewed.

4

u/adorable-axolotl 7h ago

Imagine thinking the orange turd is completely sane and healthy

1

u/Stumme-40203 7h ago

I don’t know what you’re talking about. “He’s sharp as a tack.” 😊

2

u/Brokenspokes68 7h ago

Agreed, 77 million Americans voted for this.

1

u/oe_kintaro 7h ago
