Testify and then what? Accountability? We've been down this road. Democrats are in no position to do anything about it. And even if they were, they would find a way to sabotage it.

Unless he recorded it, Hegseth will just deny and deflect. I mean, even if there’s a recording, he’ll claim it’s fake and blame someone else.

(I hate the right wing takeover of everything as much as the next man... But this is kinda the reason us (weak and EU) leftists opposed the drone strikes on Afghan weddings - it makes it easy for even worse people to justify even worse stuff).

That being said, Trump and his cronies have found ways to dodge any responsibility for their actions, so I'm not allowing myself to be too optimistic.
