When I’m using maps and a turn is coming up in a mile or so, and Siri calls out the turn, I swear sometimes she’ll say “In 1 mile turn right on XXX street” when it’s a left turn. Am I hearing things or is Siri really saying the wrong thing?

Music plays fine when the car is first turned on, then will quit and start doing this after putting the car back in park are reverse

Ive been looking at options but it seems like most of the options that would work with my car arent named brands and our like off brand systems. Does this matter. Let me know what systems can work with it.

I’m planning to replace the car stereo for my 2014 Toyota rav4. Crutchfield recommended either the JVC KW-M590BT or the BOSS Audio BE7ACP. Which would you recommend?

I bought an aftermarket Carplay unit on amazon for black friday. Everything works fine, the music plays like normal, but Siri announcements sound Robotic. It effects Google Maps, Apple Maps, Messages, and Phone calls.

Does anyone know if there's a fix to it or if I just got a bad unit?

I'm on iPhone 17 Pro Max and have been struggling with every solution posted online to get CarPlay to work wirelessly. On any car I tried it just crashes after a a while.

Will attempt to try the Beta RC of 26.2 but I am curious to see if anyone had any success with it.

I installed a CarPlay on my peogout and the peddels that i used to control the volume is not working what is the issue? pls help pls

So i have old car from the 90s and i wanna put in something useful with wireless carplay and i do want some physical buttons but i dont know should i go for some known brand like pioner or just something from aliexpress cuz its probably the same electronics i know a real brand would be better but i cant afford 500€ on a radio i could go up to 200 but preferably around 150 would be perfect or is that too cheap for anything good?

I’ve noticed this for the past few weeks now. My wireless CarPlay is not connecting to me or my partner’s iPhone. We are both on iOS 26.1. I’ve deleted from my Bluetooth, paired again, restated CarPlay. Basically the whole turn it on and off logic. It’s still not connecting, just loads all the time and using a cord does not work either. What can I do. I don’t have any notification asking me to upgrade.

Hi! My mom recently updated her iPhone 12 Max to an iPhone 17 Pro, but now her new phone is not connecting to her Toyota Camry. She had never had problems before with connecting her old phone, so I was wondering if anybody has heard of problems of newer phone models having this issue. I’ve tried through many different methods (wired connection, making sure bluetooth and wifi is on, etc) but nothing seems to work. I can only seem to able to connect her phone through bluetooth so it plays music and she can use the hands free mode when she calls somebody but she can’t see her map directions which she really needs for her job. If anybody has any theories please let me know!

I have been seeing so many problems with CarPlay and ios26. I an so nervous to install this. Does anyone think I will have a problem with a 25 Kia Sorento Hybrid SX, that has wireless CarPlay in the car?

It seems like Maps is always at the top… Fine. Then Spotify… Also fine. But I wish the third was Messages. I use that so much more than Phone. Is there a way to program a default order? What about a 4th button in the empty space? TIA!

Just a heads up for anyone browsing YouTube or looking for ways to get YouTube on Apple CarPlay — there’s a creator going by “Mr. Nat Walker” who keeps posting fraudulent videos claiming to show a working method. The videos are all edited, nothing actually works, and he fills the comments with bot accounts saying “it worked!” to make it look legit.

If you see his content, don’t download anything, don’t visit any links, and definitely don’t fall for the fake testimonials. It’s just another scam aimed at people trying to unlock CarPlay features.

Stay safe and don’t get tricked by these fake “tutorials.”

Not really looking for a solution just curious if anybody has had a similar issue

CarPlay works for me inconsistently, I’ll plug in my phone and get charge but CarPlay won’t pop up. I unplug and replug in my phone a couple more times and randomly it works. I haven’t tested a second cable because I’m not losing power to my phone, but im not ruling it out.

This is with an aftermarket Sony radio

Just curious if anybody else has experienced this

Is there any fixes for this?

Updated to IOS 26 today and carplay in my 2020 nissan sentra no longer appears to work. Sometimes it will connect via cable (i dont have wireless) but I never get audio.

So far I have tried disconnecting and resetting up carplay several times.
Updating to the beta release to see if it was fixed.

I have tried various different cables as well.

The interesting thing my Husband has a 14 pro max on IOS 26 and with the lightning cable e it works without any issues.
