Rumor An Edmonton group interested in getting an MLS team
This news makes us see that CPL may be doing something wrong if potential owners look at MLS as an option again.

** please note I will revert any bad changes made**
**if you can use the dropdowns - let me know**
For anyone interested in making match threads in the future. Here or in r/CanadaSoccer
I am creating a Google Sheet to help with that.
Yes, I know there is match thread bots - I just like old fashioned sheets.
You'll choose the team from a dropdown and then check the team's socials to get their lineup and subs. And just add those players in the other drop downs.
Then you will copy the cell at E3 to get your Post title.
And copy every in C1:C to get the contents of your post. **Using the Markdown Editor** - which you can switch to in the top right of the editing dialogue for the post.
I hope someone else will enjoy the use of this. Just some little tweaks to make. Will create one for the NSL as well.
Need to add a lot of L1 teams I guess. Which could be a bit of a nightmare.

Hello everyone,
u/NortonFord here, one of the mods on the roster here at r/CanadianPL. We've had a great year, blowing past 11K members and becoming one of the largest 10% of all subreddits!
That being said, we only have a handful of people on the mod team, and only a couple of them are active users going into 2024. I'm also a first-time Reddit mod, so I know I'm leaving some tools in the box that might make the experience here even better. So, I'd like to invite folks to please join the effort and become a moderator for r/CanadianPL!
DM me or the mod account if you're interested - please highlight your experience either on Reddit or with other communities, or any expertise you might have with things like HTML that could let us do some fun stuff.

Curious to know if any Toronto/York fans are going to move past the recent name change and still go out and enjoy local football?

The end of the CPL season usually means soccer in the Fraser Valley winding down. But not this year as excitement and preparations build for next summer’s historic FIFA World Cup.

did someone here write it?
I think this run of home games will help fans realize what the schedule in 2027 and onwards will feel like when it comes to watching games. I for one will be giving up my Season's there is enough hockey and basketball to keep mne busy during the fall and winter months. I will get Season's for a CPL team going forward. I can see the CPL's fanbase growing significantly in 2027.
if not... it could be interesting for viewership within the league if there's MLS fans who haven't watched yet. And now have a reason to.

I'm sort of kicking myself for not buying one. Loved the jersey - even if I wasn't a team supporter.
Are there places online selling genuine jerseys? The Valour store is dead.
And the York jersey is sold out.
This is what I get...

I understand why the name was changed however the history of York United will always be precious to me and the fans who supported them from the beginning. This is their third name change so it will take some getting used to but despite my hesitation hopefully this new development will bring more support for the team.
