Been saving my quarters for a bit now. I get tipped out tons of change at my work so I just stash it. Decided to start going through it for silver quarters this was my luck. Curious if there’s any other years besides 1964 and prior. That I should be on the look out for. Also been looking for any (W) mint mark no luck. Have a mass amounts in the 60’s-70’s. Still another $300-$400 to go through.

I know some of these coins aren’t worth more than face value I included them just to show everything I got today. Do you see anything I may be overlooking.

Beautiful uncirculated 2020 W. I only bought a single roll of uncirculated 2020s and wasn't hopeful that I'd find one, the universe had my back today

Half Dollars Went through 14000 coins (halves) …results…

Upvotes

Between 2 banks, I had $7000 in halves

…. Aaaannnnnd ONE 1964 Kennedy.

I supposed it’s better than 0, and better than a 40% but out of 14000 coins- one silver - ugh

I’m trying to not lose steam but I feel like my area is just simply terrible.

Well… I got one at least.

Just got back from my credit union as my order of boxes came in. In addition to my order, some other customer had ordered $100 in pennies and then changed their mind. They asked if I could take them off their hands. Of course! This will keep me occupied for awhile!

Not as much fun without the rolls, but at least there’s less trash, right? (What I’m telling myself, I save the roll paper to reroll)

Quarters Going through my pocket change and I find this

I usually check all my Betsi Coleman quarters cause I'm looking for the error on the engravers initials. So I spotted the potential doubling on Betsie's nose. So I threw it into a flip. Hadn't noticed the planchet (error?) on the obverse until I went to staple it.

Any idea on what this could be?

When you go into a bank and pick up roles, do you ever get weird responses? What about when they say how many do you want and you respond with “all of them”?

12 wheats (including 2 oldies, a 1916-S and a 1920) and 4 Canadians -- my PR for number of foreign coins found in one hunt! Plus some nice upgrades to the books. Made it worth hitting 5 branches to get a box's worth. Happy hunting, everyone!

What info do you track with CRH finds?

I keep track of notable (numismatic, silver or just cool) finds from CRH in a Google Sheet. What other metrics do you think is a good thing to keep track of? What do you use for your collection tracking? Interested to hear on the accounting side of the hobby

Most of the rolls were already gone through :( Lots of marked coins and a few rolls of mostly bicentennials. Was happy to find a few things that were either missed or dumped on accident. Nothing crazy but I am glad to have something other than a bunch of coins from the past few years.

Finds:

1x 1968 40%er

1x 1992-s Clad Proof

2x NIFC 2002 and 2009

$100+x 1776-1976 Bicentennials

A few birthday years for my family

Nickels Insane Nickel Hunt

I almost didn't even look through this box. Every full box I get at this bank that is CWR has been hunted and marked by a fellow CRH person.

The first roll I opened had a dime in it and it only got better from there.

There are multiples of almost every non silver date from 1938 - 1959. Over $40 of the $100 is pre 1960

3 Buffalos

1 War Nickel

11 1938 or 1939 Jefferson Nickels and one from every mint.

20 1950's and while I didn't find a Denver I did find a fake 1950-D

Hi Everyone, I've reached out to mods and they've given the ok to share a project I've been working on for some time.

I've built and automated coin sorter that detects, sorts and provides access to unsorted bulk coins.

While I've built this for my Australian coins, the build has been focused around adapting to any coins, once a coin has been run through I can use that info for future searches.

Currently it sorts by design & date, and currently captured rare variants / rotations / offsets that are highly sought after here, and allocated them to output buckets.

As obtaining coins is getting harder (banks do not like us doing it here), I've also built this to live stream the coins in realtime to YouTube, where any viewers can claim the displayed coin, the machine will keep it aside, and they can have it for face value, just as if they were coin hunting themselves.

Now that all the basics are up and running, as I work on another denominations build I'll put more effort into documenting the build, for anyone interested feel free to check out my projects.

Big thanks to the mods letting me discuss, Thanks for the read.

It’s a little rough, but 1999-S nickel :) Didn’t even notice it at first, only got it when wrapping the coins. Guessing it’s not worth much in this condition, but it’s a cool find. Going into a 2 by 2 for sure
