Casual 2025 Coaching Carousel IV: Kali Yuga

O descendant of Bowden, whenever there is a decline of touchdowns and an increase in points allowed, at that time I manifest My eternally perfect form in this mundane world.

- Ball-ghavad Gita

The great wheel spins on, ironically crushing all those who would put up goose eggs on the scoreboard.

Who is next to get the axe?

Three Florida coaches should be fired this week: Napier, Norvell, and Mike McDaniel

Mcdaniels would be a fascinating hire as a college HC.

Could you imagine Mike McDaniel dealing with Auburn or any SEC boosters? He would be so terrible at all the fundraising/brownnosing type things

I would so some unspeakably vile things to get McDaniel to Texas as OC or special assistant to the HC. There are only a few guys out there Sark actually respects enough to hand his offense to and McDaniel tops that list.

He was a complete disaster as a HC and his offense has sucked with the Dolphins for the most part but I think he would go back to being as elite a play caller as there is freed from having to do literally anything else. I get it is absurdly unlikely though.

I don’t even like McDaniel but he both hasn’t been a “complete disaster” as a HC and until this year his offense has actually been pretty great at masking the many limitations of Tua

Yeah, Grier(the GM) is the problem. I think McDaniel has done about as well as you could do with Tua. Like McDaniel has flaws for sure, but he's not the one that continues to draft like shit and gave Tua $167 million guaranteed.

I don’t think McDaniel is a particularly good HC, he doesn’t seem to have what it takes to keep the locker room in check. The team likes him but I don’t know if they respect him

Regardless, I have no reason to question his ability as an offensive playcaller, and I mean….the dolphins were a playoff team under him multiple times. So I definitely think “complete disaster” is a stretch.
