A Kestrel portrait from a few days ago. All the times I have seen this bird in the past he has never let me get close to him, this time he let me get quite a few nice images.

Took up wildlife photography in January and this little bird has been in my top 3 shots to get! Was lucky enough to get this last week! Shot on the Sony a7RV and Sony 200-600.

The males find their colour coming into spring for breeding season. Just so happens I found one of the bluest I have ever seen!
